One of our D&D games, we had to cross a bridge guarded by a Cambion (Half-fiend), and bypassed the encounter entirely by offering him tea. Turned out to be one of the most cordial NPCs we’ve encountered.

There’s a book I love, where a 21st century woman is reading her great great grandmother’s diary about how she summoned a crusader knight ghost and attached him to an amulet

21st century woman doesn’t believe any of it, so accidentally manages to summon him out of the amulet and is like “excuse me? You’re not real!” and then realised he was hot and she was in her PJs

Love that scene so much
