I frequent subs where readings are offered.

Some trends that I have observed, seem to be from users who may rightfully doubt the validity of psychics. They don’t deter scammers or deter actual psychics.

I wanted to list a few of them, and to respond.

I find it extremely sad, that users feel they have to do these things.

    1. Being dishonest about the cause of death of a loved one. Many psychic mediums experience the death of a loved one. If itnis murder or suicide we will know. We prefer honesty. If your loved one was involved in addictions or in criminal activity, we see

    2. Posting a photograph of your loved one in 1970 in grammar school.

The psychic is going to see the person at the age when they died. You really don’t need to go to this extreme to test a psychic. The photographs do tend to reveal.when the photo was taken, anyway.

It is meant to test the psychic. It is understandable, but, really inconsiderate.

    3. The neverending revolving trend of “selfie” posts, on subs meant to communicate with the deceased. “Read my aura. Compliment me. Don’t dare tell me the truth about myself”. Do it all free..

Don’t tell me I’m lonely or needy. (Truths) I will blow up.

These are seldom responded.to, by actual psychics. You gave a cold reader a photo to use to guess and to flatter you.

This is probably a good indication as any as to how out of touch I must be because these trends sound so weird… are some people really that bored?

The oddest reading I had (long time ago) was from a woman who had ME read the cards she had drawn for me. With the exception of a couple of details I’d missed, I was correct – according to her. I still smh over that one.

If someone doesn’t believe in psychics they shouldn’t attend to those threads imo

Yeah, it’s not always that they are bored. I have seen cases of people who have made it their life mission to show everyone that psychics and mediums are fake. Maybe they have a radar for scammers, who knows, even in a truthful reading their bias is strongly set to it must be scam and now I have to find out how they knew that. I think it’s a waste of time because it takes away from helping someone that needs our help.

To your first point, I will say there are cases where the family story doesn’t match up with the reality of the situation. I had a spirit tell me they were murdered and the sitter had always heard that they suffered a heart attack. It was done to protect the real reason when they were very young and everyone just kept up with the story. Sometimes its a test and other times it’s a family lie.

I’ve been lied to before and caught it. I think this is where pre-reading comes into play. We should be careful who we spend our energy on. Psychic endeavors aren’t without risk to the reader, anyway.
I like to do a reading on myself if it’s a good idea to do a reading for someone else. Good for multiple reasons- not just with liars.

Whether or not someone believes doesn’t bother me.
