When I close my eyes and meditate, I see fast moving stars that zip by. Then it slows down and a star of bright light opens and I travel into the light.
When I look into the distance I see my spirit guide but at the same time I feel like I am looking at myself.
I had an intuition to place my hand on my friends forehead and help meditate on another occasion. We both seen the stars and saw the same opening and went in. From a distance my friend saw my spirit guide and was able to speak. I cannot however and I do not understand this.
After my received the message he said it was time to go. It felt we were both falling from the sky for 5 minutes.
What type of practice is this and why would the spirits teach me this?

It’s possible this is your “doorway” to communicate with your spirit guide. I used to do a specific journey across water and down a path to a special garden. Now it’s just direct “speech”.

Sounds a lot like my NDE. Saw stars flying by as I went somewhere but never got there, got sucked backwards

There are gates to the astral worlds, causal worlds, and then even higher worlds. This could also be one of the stages of samadhi. Meditation is yoga, so that’s why you’re having mystical experiences.

I’m sensing that there is also an aspect of you that is both being represented in the spirit guide figure AND an aspect of you that is shutting down/resisting to the fact that you “have to listen to yourself”. In this scenario I’m getting an ancient energy and you are indivisible from this spirit guide, it is a part of your higher self somehow. Yet it is not who you become when you’re “healed”…. like it is **you**, but it is not you you in this 3d life.
I’m getting the message that “they” want to teach you about dimensions and timelines… that you’re at a point right now where every choice you don’t make (ie you’re no longer making the same choices that you used to) is leading you to major crossroads, and in order to move forward in alignment you need to access unlimited potential of who you are as a being. This means you will have to learn about other aspects of yourself that are just as real, other aspects of yourself that did not have the upbringing you did, and are not attached to certain people and places at all.
This is very interesting, this is a form of astral traveling for sure… and your friend seems to be very important to some aspects of you since he/she was able to communicate with this “aspect of you”/ spirit guide.
