Suddenly losing things

While I appreciate the concept of ‘mundane before the magic’, I’m genuinely at a loss. Things keep going missing from my house! I’ve lost several items of clothing and other things keep moving in my house. E.g a top I really loved has literally just vanished after putting it through the wash (it never came back from being washed or dried – it isn’t stuck in the machine or anything like that and I’ve looked absolutely everywhere). I’m also noticing that things will almost ‘glitch in the matrix’. E.g I’m looking for a particular ingredient and will go to where it’s stored, it isn’t there. I’ll look all around the kitchen and go back to the place I started and suddenly, it’s there. Does anyone have any insight into what’s happening? It started the last couple of months. Prior to that, I was going through a horrendous streak of bad luck financially (thankfully seems to have cleared touch wood).

How old is your house? Ours is 135 years old, and we have the original builders/ family here. Things get moved, but usually turn up consistently in the same place, so we just start putting them there.
