Synastry vs Composite: which one is more important and why?

I understand that they are both important in their own specific way, but is a relationship more likely to thrive with an easier synastry but a more challenging composite, or vice versa? And why is that?

Synastry is about how your energies relate to one another. Composite is what you are as one unit. Both are important. Composite shows how the relationship will end…. very clearly I find.

I think they are two different ways to arrive at the same conclusion. Both a synastry chart and a composite chart of the same two people should show similar themes, so either way you get roughly the same picture regardless of which method you choose.
