Hey, everyone! This is my first post here.

I recently started studying tarot and have had some difficulty understanding and connecting to the meaning/energy of some cards. Then I had the idea of trying to find a song for each card that the lyrics/beat can relate to, thinking that maybe it would make it easier for me to build this connection.

For example, today while listening to "St. Vincent – Masseduction", I thought that the lyrics can relate so much to the card "The Devil" 😅.

So, I would love to know if you have ever had this sensation before and what the music and the card were that you thought of at the moment. Thanks!

Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I'm still learning English.

I’ve always thought about this!! Some off the top of my head are “Wheel in the Sky” by Journey for The Wheel of Fortune; especially the lyric “wheel in the sky keeps on turning, don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow”. I like “Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2 for The Hermit Card. I’m gonna have to go through my cards now because I make this association all the time but have never really written it out

ETA: I do the same with movies as well! For The Chariot I like to equate it to Cleopatra entering Rome in 1966’s “Cleopatra”. Or to Aladdin entering Agraba pretending to be a prince to impress Jasmine

Yes! Understanding that the cards represent *archetypes* (which are fundamental concepts to the human experience) make it easy to memorize the cards and their meanings.

Archetypes are present in everything related to humanity- from movies, to books, and music!! So connecting music to the archetypes of the tarot is a really easy way to understand their meanings.

Tarot didn’t invent the concept of archetypes (archetypes have been around since the dawn of civilization) but rather tarot is a system of categorizing, illustrating, and explaining these archetypes. The more you recognize them- the more you will start to see the connections between tarot and other things around you!

    Have fun learning! ✨🙏🏻☺️

OHHHH I WAS WAITING FOR THIS ONE if I started to look around my favorite songs I would probably find more but
Sleep Token’s “Take Aim” reminds me a little bit of the Star. Not the entire song tho, that’s for sure lol.

    >*Don’t you bathe in rivers?*
    *Don’t you feel alive?*
*And when I see you waking up*
    *And it sends me shivers*
*How you love like weapons kill*

Also I have this weird feeling that if the girlie in the Star was real she would love this song ngl. This card always gave me this self-love, self nuturing, “be kind to yourself” kind of feeling and I just think this part of the song just fits her.

Lexie Liu’s album *The Happy Star* has several songs that are about tarot cards:

FORTUNA – about the Wheel of Fortune
    3.14159 – about the Fool
    MAGICIAN – about the Magician
    DIABLO – about the Devil
MIRA – about the High Priestess
