    DISCLAIMER:

**Please no sarcastic responses like tRy thErApY. I am in therapy. I have BPD, and it’s not typically treated with medication. My therapist feels grounding practices and meditations could help me when I feel an episode coming on; I use crystals to ENHANCE my healing—I believe in science and therapy is my primary solution**

    With that being said:
On my lowest days, I am extremely irritable, ragey, and my sense of identity gets completely out of whack.
What crystals would you recommend ?

I for sure want to get more Howlite, but I am open to hearing what grounding stone (besides Smoky Quartz , which I already have), and any other stone you feel would be great for feeling in the moment and aware of who you are.

    Thanks in advance lovelies!

TLDR: in search of recommendations on crystals you feel are great for bad mental health days

I don’t have any crystal recs because all I do is hoard rose quartz, but as a fellow witch and person with BPD, I just wanted to give you my love and hope you find balance and calm with whatever approach you take with your health.

Black tourmaline and hematite are my favorite grounding stones for when I need to feel safe. Snowflake obsidian makes me feel protected when I want to express myself more authentically. Lithium quartz, rose quartz, and malachite have been my favorites for healing/comforting lately.

Yes look into Magnetized hematite its very grounding when held in the hands brings you into the present moment instead of being stuck in your head , I have two magnetized hematite shaped like balls no pun intended lol but I’m pretty sure you’ve gotten pretty good advice already

My favorite is ametrine. It’s both soothing but also uplifting. I wear one on a necklace at work, and I feel like it helps me roll with the punches. It can still be a bad night, like, I don’t expect it to make bad things not happen in the ICU, but I find I approach it more calmly and positively, with less frustration. Kind of a “ok so this is what’s happening, what am I going to do about it?Alright let’s go.” It’s supposed to be good for creativity also, so I bet it probably also helps in the “what am I going to do about this” part. I forgot to wear it tonight, as today didn’t go as planned, but my mom got me some snacks on her way to pick up my kid, so it’s not all bad.

I don’t know if ametrine NEEDS to be cleansed after using it the way I do, but what I do is I wear it on a hemp necklace, which I shower with because it makes hemp softer and also hospitals are gross, and when it’s dry after showering from my last night of work for the week, I put it in a sunny window with my selenite wand. I’m pretty new and still figuring things out, but that’s what made sense to me. Let the selenite and the sunshine get rid of all that icky hospital atmosphere, you know? I usually leave it overnight and put it back on the next day. I haven’t been able to find any locally, but there are a lot of sellers on etsy who have it for pretty cheap.

Yeah I know about bpd as wel. For grounding I recommend petrified wood and obsidian for protection. Amethyst I find oddly nice overall for my wellbeing.

I am ALWAYS drawn to this huge chunk of selenite that’s a big and long as my forearm. It’s a cleansing stone and very powerful. Best of luck to you on your healing journey

Here to second people who recommend amethyst, carrying a smooth amethyst stone on me, especially the very dark ones, has helped me immensely before. Also a rose quartz has helped me a lot with anxiety and mental health. I’ve been recently dealing with some post-parrum trauma and generally in a mental health rut from caring for a newborn while sick, a stone that helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel and power through to the better times is a carnelian. I have a big beautiful carnelian as a pendant on a long necklace and I hold it in my palm anytime I feel I need a bit if courage/energy/support. If it works with your style, this way of wearing the stones is pretty discreet and allows you to hold it anytime you need, and mugged just think you’re fidgeting.

One of my favorite calming stones is a gray agate palm stone. Not pretty in the usual sense, but interesting. And may I recommend selenite? I find that selenite is high energy, and mine gives me a boost when I hold it.

I’m doing a 10K tomorrow (the Wicked10K in VA Beach, VA), and when I read your title, I thought “crystal run? Where’s that? Is it a 10K or longer?” LOLOLOLLOLOL

Sorry– Not an answer to your question. Just thought it was funny where my brain went with that.

Hi there! I’m actually a nursing student whos a witch here so I’d love to give you some crystal tips etc. I’m love the fact your using a two toned approach to your mental health management with meds and therapy and possible meditation. So, for you, a lepidolite may be really good because it actually has naturally occurring lithium in it which is a mood balancer and used in a lot of BPD meds. 🙂 apart from that, I tend tend go with the crystals that call to me while I am in the store. A few other favorites of mine are smokey quartz, flower agate, and golden healer. A great app I used is called “a guide to crystals” has a big CC on it. Great info on there too. There are so many crystals out there that may help that you’ll discover as you move forward. I hope your well. 💖

I like amethyst a lot. I have a smooth amethyst pendant that is nice for meditation/as a worry stone. Honestly, my favorite is not even a crystal, it’s a tumbled rock I found at the beach. Holding it helps me calm down when I’m anxious. There is lots of lore behind crystals (of which i am by no means an expert) but I think the most important thing is to choose something you feel connected to.
