First time was a helmet from a war at a thing at school (we were allowed to touch it), and it gave me shivers. Second time was an object (not old) someone wore every day while they were in a bad time, and it had some serious bad vibes. I went with purifying that energy and used it for positive stuff.
This one just feels neutral, but I can still feel it. It's strange. I grew up with mostly secondhand, thrifted, and antique stuff, and it all just feels like a white noise machine energy-wise, whereas this one has more presence. It's a silver cup, vintage, and it's very beautiful. I have secondhand sterling jewelry that doesn't have this feeling. It's not a huge feeling, but it is there. I got the cup to be a ritual tool. I guess someone felt this cup was important in the past, too? Idk.
I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I could remove the energy and fill it with energy of my own. I could leave it as-is. I could purify the energy in the cup and keep it in the cup as a ritual tool. I'm not sure which one I'd like to do.
What have other witches done when faced with these options?
