This is my mom, she passed away on October 4th. I need to know she’s not alone anymore, I need to know she’s happy. I don’t think I can rest until I know, it’s been eating me alive.

My take on it, is it has less to do with the spirit and more to do with the person who is grieving and where they are in the process. Everyone grieves differently and processes loss in a different way. I think it could be more difficult to connect, or even get a proper message across, to someone who is really overcome. Mostly because it is very important to actually allow oneself to grieve.
I have only just been practicing mediumship, but between that and what I experience during meditation, your mother is not alone and is reconnected with source. She is free of the humanly constraints that may have bothered her when she was here and embraced and wrapped in the warmth of the source energy.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother 13 years ago and can sympathize with what you are going through. Sending you love.

From what I’ve heard mediums generally wait a year until after the person passes to read for you for them because it may be unhealthy to receive one so soon with them having passed. Not saying this applies to all mediums just something I’ve heard

I think it really depends on the medium. As a medium there is a lot that I am capable of saying to someone who has recently lost someone they love. I can help people with their initial trauma by explaining energy and how it is all around us. That because the person can no longer physically see their loved one doesn’t mean their spirit isn’t very much still there. And while I might not tap into the spirit’s energy I might very well tap into the grieving person’s energy and that is often times exceedingly reassuring.

From just straight off the bat, I think she’s happy and possibly with other family members who have passed she seems really sweet and hard working seems to come to my mind.

I had rather be able to see the eyes but I am being told she has not moved on yet. Her spirit is still around and you probably have felt her. She needs you to be ok and I’m seeing another person who is distraught about her passing. Please get some grief counseling or read a book about the grieving processes.
