    Look at this glorious Orb Weaver! Oh my goodness. I love her and she is just huge and happy. She’s good people. Uh, arachnid. She’s going to do the best work.

    Oh wow! I am not super fond of spiders (I say as one keeps rebuilding a web on the driverā€™s side of my car around the mirror) but the colors on that one are amazing! What an interesting center part of the web there in the middle.

    We called them Writing Spiders when I was a kid. That is a gorgeous one!

    I always see the argiope spider pattern as the silhouette of a fancy lady with an elaborate and high hair updo and hoop earrings. They’re so pretty. Haven’t seen one in many years but they were always childhood favorites. Their zigzag patterns with special web from their spinnarrettes refracts ultraviolet light in a similar way that flowers do, which attracts bees and other pollinators, so they sort of attract their food to them.

    wow, what a beauty! we have several large nursemaids and wolf spiders, but nothing as gorgeous as this one!

    Iā€™m deathly afraid of spiders but I love everything they do! I came across the same specie of spider in Alabama, I love their zigzag web in the middle. I think of it as their unique signature! šŸ•·šŸ•ø

    I lovelovelove A. aurantina, they’re probably in my top 3 spider species!!! What a magnificent individual
