So, I have been going back and forth on writing to you all about this topic. I do many readings every single day and I have noticed a recurring topic : This is my twin flame, who is my twin flame, is this my twin flame, etc.
Pop culture has taken spirituality and the concepts of spirituality by storm. Many platforms, Tik Tok being the most guilty, have been quite the aid in misinformation. For some reason, that platform especially has been abuzz about Twin Flame connections. So let’s discuss…
There are many different connections you could have in this life. Twin Flames, Karmic Relationships, Soulmates. Each with their own lessons and purpose. I would like to focus on the first two and their differences/similarities as I believe many are being fed misleading and confusing information.
A Twin Flame is quite literally your soul in two different people. Not everyone has a twin and the purpose of having a twin is that that souls purpose was so large, it split between the two of you. Your twin is your mirror and the connections are difficult. Sometimes, a twin flame could simply be a friend or non-romantic connection. Your twin is meant to make you confront things about yourself – much akin to shadow work and inner child work. These relationships are complex and beautiful. Now Karmic Relationships. These relationships are difficult and meant to teach you a lesson. They are not fated to last. They are often painful and cyclical until you break that pattern. Often times, they could be abusive. The reason I am detailing this is because I have many, many clients who confuse their karmic connection for a twin flame connection due to the misinformation they have been provided. They often want an explanation for their partner being less than kind to them because they love them. The relationship could often be considered addicting and frustrating. Most importantly, I want you to all remember, if you’re in a Twin Flame or Karmic Relationship, you are not to tolerate abuse or mistreatment. If a partner continuously leaves you over and over, you need to take a break from that connection and love yourself. If a partner is constantly arguing with you (or vice versa), you both deserve peace. You come first. The soul is happiest when you are treated well and you love yourself. No fated connection with leave you in constant limbo or with nonstop upheaval. In short, a twin will return when the time is right and things will resolve as they are meant to when the souls lessons are learned. A karmic partner is meant to be left alone and have your lessons simply accepted.

Hey! Thanks for writing this out, super informative and thought through.
I’ve seen a lot of psychic/tarot readings labelled/advertised as twin flame/karmic relationship readings and it ticks me off a little. It’s been romanticised and like you said, portrayed by media in a way that people think they’ve found their twin flame/soulmate (which is totally fine!) and get caught by the twin flame readings in red lights. I just find it a way for some readers to catch easy, vulnerable clients. I read in another comment of yours you decided against these readings, and that people get super defensive about them – totally agreed! I keep them at relationship readings. At the end of the day, if there is something out of the ordinary, we’ll see it anyway!

So happy that my Twin Flame is a platonic best friend so there’s no drama issue! We never fight, even after 15 years of knowing each other. I also definitely know the difference between comparability and an actual twin flame. We are always doing the same thing, thinking the same thing, buying each other basically the same things.
Thanks for clarifying this for those that got a bit confused! I was seeing those find your twin flame videos on YouTube and Pinterest and wanted to be like “Nooo, that’s not how it works…” If you truly have one, they’ll come around when the time is ready.

Sometimes Karmic relationships do last, and cease being unhealthy when both parties have matured. Usually some distance is needed before that happens though, because you need to let go of each other first. But karmics can be friends for life, once that unhealthy “spark” dies out. With my karmic we were best friends in high school and now though there is distance we still keep in touch and care about each other. But they are no longer my karmic, in a sense, because that attachment is gone and the lesson learned.

I know I met my twin flame because I saw him in a dream before I even met him. We met through the strangest circumstances. Our families have so many similarities with names and DOB… we have experienced the same things. We talk telepathically even when we’re not together. Every time we are together we feel like one. We are currently not together but we are being confronted with the same life experiences. I don’t even need to talk to him to know he loves me. I can just “connect” spiritually because he’s always with me. When we are on a high, it feels like I’m one with the universe and when confused everything gets muddy and I run away. Accepting it, has been the biggest challenge.

I think my last ex was karmic.
I don’t know WTF lesson I was supposed to learn though, and much of the stress in our relationship I blame on her BFF whom I found out dictates a lot of my ex’s life and interactions and has my ex convinced she can’t live without her input.
I miss my ex, even though I was dumped for very stupid reasons. I want her back….I knew the moment I saw her I wanted to marry her. ????

Ohh great explaination! I hve been rlly confused abt twinflames lately. There is this guy who came in my dreams nd suddenly I got stumbled upon twinflame posts…and then after knowing that guy came in my dream again saying we r past life lovers and he showed me a pic of 2 people hugging and I felt so connected….and that guy backhuhhed me…I felt wo safe…I hvnt been able to get him out of my mind . I hve been seeing angel number…like 1111…222..333..444…888..555..777 and like much more continuously…now it has lessened…and now I think I’m going through another spiritual awakeing…I just think abt him 24/7….and I hve searched many things abt them…and everyone says that intense feeling of home and….I feel that when I think of him…sometimes it’s so intense that I just wanna shut this chapter in my life lol but I just cant stop thinking abt him…I hve to now work on myself…and many readings said that he also got dreams abt me and recently got out of a relationship but I just cant trust readings to be 100% accurate cause tarot cards give u wht u want…thnk u for this post ❤

Do you even really need a twin flame connection to feel complete and fully connected to everything? I never understood, or liked, the idea of needing someone to be complete. This is coming from someone who has been fighting their codependent tendencies they have been strained by their whole life.
