GuestFebruary 7, 2021 at 4:20 pmThe star has always spoken to me of the rest and contenment we find at the end of a journey (Spiritual or physical). The symbolism I borrowed from the rider waite star includes one foot in the pool, representing being grounded while simultaneously extending part of oneself into the mystical plane. The Sacred Ibis bird is a symbol of patience, and plucking wisdom from the stream of consciousness (or unconsciousness). I included a few fish as symbols of the Ibis’ pursuit. I added a constellation of stars forming the tree of life, a symbol of the universal human journey we all experience. The tree/foliage is intentionally fantastical to show that this is not a literal tree, but a reflection of the figures mental processes.
