Okay. So I’ve been into the craft about two years now and have been using one specific knife for rituals and such. Well lately I’ve been feeling myself drifting away from it if you know what it mean. Well… today I went thrifting and found this knife. It’s handle was a bit large but I bought it and sanded it down and stained etc. Is it weird to use as my new ritual knife? It’s more of an old stake knife, but with a very unique shape blade shape. I love it and feel very connected to it even with it still being un-cleansed. Can I use it or is that weird?

I’m in the school of thought of use whatever feels good and natural to you and it won’t harm you or others easily.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I’m currently looking in thrift stores hoping to run across a uranium glass fruit knife to use as a ritual knife myself.

A typical kitchen witch uses kitchen knives. No reason you can’t 🙂

Why would that be weird? Witches use what’s availible to them. Old Mag the Mountain Hag wasn’t catalog ordering her tools, she’d use what she had, or found, or was gifted.
My favorite knife is a dagger I inherited from my gramps in a backpack load of knives he left me because he knew I liked stabby things. 4 others have been yoinked up from yardsales, with my boline being the only knife purchased full price by my family as a birthday gift because it looked frickin cool.
