Hey, I just started tarot about a month ago. I learned what it was from various YouTube videos and from the Labyrinthos app. However, I love to read and would love to get a tarot book that is comprehensive and easy to understand. There are 2 things that I am really looking for in this book.

    1. Whenever the author is explaining each card (as they do in many tarot books), I would like it if they also explained what each part of the picture represents.
    2. I would also love it if the author really took a look into how to do readings for yourself and others and a variety of spreads with which to do them with.

(Also, what are some of your favorite fictional books that involve tarot?)

    Thanks!

Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom is my favorite and I would recommend it to any beginner.

My favorite fictional book involving tarot is still in editing, and unpublished, otherwise I’d tell you all about it!

Something to keep in mind is that decks differ slightly. Try to get books that corrospond to the deck. If you are interested I have free links to books on the Thoth deck because that’s what I use the most
