    Depending on the case, as much as i don’t want to i force myself into the shower. I close my eyes find the sweet spot where the water runs down both ears so i can’t quite hear the outside world and start working on my breathing (kinda like meditating) After i either take a nap or eat something.

    When for whatever reason i can’t do the above i listen to music. The process goes sad songs that feel right in the moment, cry (that’s a 50/50 chance), forget to go to the next song so YT recommends something appropriate for a freaking rave, laugh at the randomness and listen to more upbit music.

    Cleansing rituals (eg. A shower), meditation, positive affirmations, and for me it’s just any type of spell. Spells make me calm and happy. I also think that grounding and centering would help, although I haven’t tried it yet.

    Honestly, exorcising the sadness out always helps me. I recommend this ritual, you will need:

    A bottle of preferred wine (or beer, but nothing stronger)

    Prince’s “Purple Rain”

    A quiet place to stomp your feet bare around in the dirt

    I think you can see where I’m going with this. Listen to Prince, have some wine and stomp and cry until you feel a little better. I like being bare foot in the dirt because I feel like it gives the sadness somewhere to go. A nice hot shower can be substituted because the bad juju goes down the drain.

    It’s ok to be sad. It’s ok to cry. Sometimes we just need to give ourselves permission.
