What is your go to asteroid that you always like to include (excluding Chiron and Lilith) when looking at yours and others charts? If multiple, top 3? And why?

I am making a spreadsheet of asteroids to reference and at 50+ currently. Looking to add more!

Arachne, mostly because I’m an arachnophile and honor/revere Spider as my primary spirit ally / matron goddess (called Araine).

Arachne is in my second house, Aquarius, conjunct **exact** my North Node, and conjunct traditionally (i.e. in same house as) Mars, square Sun, sextile Venus.

I have been hoping to find an app or whatever that will plunk out asteroids within 3°ish of the native’s angles & inner planets without having to search them individually (or in lil limited batches like you can with astro-seek). I feel like the relevance is increased within tightish orb of major points in a chart. I can’t believe it doesn’t exist yet. If anyone knows of a program that does this please let me know!

I tend to check out Ceres & aspects to Eris. I also sometimes like looking into Pallas & Hekate & Asteria & Diana & Hygeia & Pholus & Juno & generally check out Lilith (tho I tend to use the calc points not the asteroid) & Chiron. I don’t always look all of them up, and sometimes I look up other things instead or as well, it depends on what I feel might be intuitively relevant to that chart.

I have so many! Here’s a very rando list.

Ops, Eros, Psyche, Hera, Valentine, Lie, Yes, Discovery, Pallas, Ceres, Vesta, Medusa, Nessus & Dejanira, Pholus, Chiron, Eris, Echo, Sappho, Lachesis, Atropos, Klotho (Sister of Fate), Lacrimosa, Lameia, Niobe, Melpomene, Ophelia, Ajax, Spinx, Varuna, Abundantia, Enterprise, Midas, Nike, Rockefellia, Fortuna, Destinn, House, Utopia, Paradise, Astraea, Asteria, Alma, Celestia, Lust, Casanova, Bacchus, Salacia, Agamemnon, Apollo, Kassandra, Hygiea, Panacea, Aesculapia,Child, DNA, Union, Karma…

These are most of the usuals that I will work with, depending on the client and chart topic. I’m perpetually studying them and would love to know if there are any I have missed. I’m open to detailing the energy behind each but it’s too much for one comment.

Thanks for starting this discussion though!

One of my favorites is asteroid reiki (5239)

I’m still studying it and observing it in various charts but it can point to an individual’s experience with sensing energy.

For example, if it’s conjunct Taurus Mars, this person might experience energy in a very tactile, physical sense. If it’s conjunct Pisces Mercury, this person might experience energy visually, possibly seeing auras or things in their minds eye.

I also like Asteroid Spirit (37452) for signs of mediumship. Idk if you have watched Life After Death on Netflix, but it’s about Medium Tyler Henry. He has Asteroid Spirit conjunct his Moon in the 2nd house.

I also sometimes look at asteroid DNA (55555) in synastry.

Asteroids are so interesting! I think of their conjunctions as synchronicities that just kinda further color in or individualize our energy. I’ve found way too many interesting examples to write them off as unimportant.

top three asteroids i always include are:
    – (7066) Nessus
    – (433) Eros
    – (5145) Pholus

they’ve always been the quickest ways for me to gain a very specific sort of understanding when it comes to others.

nessus gives insight into the cycle of abuse (this is a placement me and my mother both have in the first house.. go figure…) so i use it to be more aware of how to avoid sensitive or trigger points for others. plus it helps gain insight into how people instinctually will try and hurt others when they feel cornered.

eros is another asteroid i have in the first house, so knowing what other people have a deep desire for (whether it’s in the bedroom or not) is something i’ll always be curious about lol.

and pholus let’s me see where people have been disappointed before. it helps me be more empathic if i see someone struggling within a fear they have; which may seem illogical to me, but is a very real, and lived experience for them.

    hope this helps.

Top 2 are Chiron and Lilith lol, but after that I like Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Dejanira and Nessus (victim and abuser). I am oftentimes looking at potential relationship partners, new friends, family members, or friends and their relationship partners, so the why on most of those is pretty self explanatory.

Circle, Medea, and Hecate are my go to astroids. Medea is directly on my Natal Sun.

as someome with Jupiter in virgo I don’t have much faith in asteroids. I need more than ancedotal evidence. I have half heartedly accepted Chiron. Feels more like a fashionable trend to me. while I do believe you can manifest power and energy in almost anything. I don’t think asteroids are in the collective conscious as much as the classical planets are. The main reason I am skeptical is a lot of the names of these asteroids and the intended meanings do not correlate. Asteroid Lilith is named after the composer Lili Boulanger.

i have lili Boulanger conjuct asc….🥴
