What do I need to know right now one-card pull? (More in comments)

I feel like the 10 of swords is pretty brutal. Like youve hit bottom and it’s only up from here. Things have gotten as bad as they’re going to get and it’s ok to rest here a minute, and then it’s up. Wounds need healing. Take a breath and assess what to do next. In regards to your music, sounds like it’s the end of rough times.

Hi, so I’m very new to tarot having got my first deck as a Christmas gift from my S/O. I’ve done a few readings including interview spreads, but this is my first time doing a one card pull.
I asked my deck “In regard to music, what do I need to know right now?”

The card I pulled was 10 of swords.
My first reaction was of confusion because I honestly wasn’t sure if my deck was telling me I should quit doing music or that my music career would falter or something like that. But looking at this card again along with the artwork and symbols, I thought this might mean something different.

Background: Music is something that’s always been a part of my life in many significant ways. I finally found my first electric guitar AND an amp yesterday at a really sweet deal. This morning I played whatever on it for almost 5 hours and my fingers are still burning as I write this lol. With this card in mind, I figured it is saying that some type of pain is coming to an end, or something bad is coming to an end with music? That maybe it is the ending of a period without having such an instrument…or that a healing process is about to begin with my music—this is all on the heels of the sudden death of a friend of ours who was also a musician btw.
Another note: I got a past life regression reading recently and one thing of note was that I am to heal in this life an old cycle of emotional unfulfillment. I also had 10 of swords but reversed (indicating end of eternal suffering) and 10 of cups upright (indicating beginning of emotional healing and fulfillment). I feel like maybe the healing cycle could also play into what my deck is telling me with this card.

Again I’m still very brand new to everything so this is all just what I picked up with my own interpretation. I’d love to know what anyone else thinks :->

It may be telling you to take it slowly and cautiously. As a new musician already thinking your career is failed is putting the cart before the horse. Swords have a lot to do with mental energy, so it may be good to look at your attitude and thoughts around music closely and determine if there is change needed. I would mot look at this card as bad, but just that there is change needed. Every ‘death’ has a rebirth.

As a side note, there is a lovely podcast “tarot for the wild soul ” and this weeks episode was about the 8,9,and 10 of swords. Might be worth a listen.
