I went to a reader a few weeks ago, it was out of a shop that does a pretty good job of vetting their daily readers. This reader had a pretty in depth bio, years of experience, featured on a National TV show about ghosts and paranormal events.
A little background, I started getting readings and practicing tarot and intuitive readings about ten years ago. I had a reader who was spot on and I loved going to her. Since then I have moved across the country and haven’t had a reading that resonated with me (except one recently that was over the phone). I’m not sure if this is because I am more in touch and no longer need as many readings as I used to or there is just a lack of genuine readers in my new community.
Anyway I typically go into readings and tell the reader to tell me whatever I need to know. This reader wasn’t having that and made me ask specific questions. The one thing I have been questioning heavily was leaving my pretty typical corporate job to go into intuitive and energy healing. The reader seemed to project into me and tell me that it’s too difficult of a career and that it took years to master and gather a following. He then told me I needed to do something creative in the job I already do. I was pretty much disgusted with this idea, I really dislike what I do and I only do it because it fits for my family right now.
This reader also spoke to spirits and people who had passed. I have a pretty strong accent from the part of the US I grew up in and he referenced a person from the next state over who died of head trauma. I have no idea who this was and I kind of just played along but was still confused. He then said there was someone else who died because of a chest problem (heart, lungs) well honestly this could have been quite a few people, it’s a pretty generic way to go. He then referenced another person who was patiently/politely waiting to speak after the other 2 were done. He described him and I had no clue who it was until I went home and talked to my husband about it and figured out who it was, that person seemed legit, the way the reader described him.
My question is has anyone else had experiences with readers who speak to people who have passed and left feeling pretty confused? Questioning the reality of it? I hate to say it but I feel like the people who can actually communicate with the dead are not charging $40 for a sitting and you probably couldn’t call and just set an appointment that day. I feel like it was one of the worse readings I havehad just because the reader was trying to touch on things that were personal (dead friends and family) and wasnt quite getting there.
