I recently bought two beautiful wire rings from an etsy shop. I chose an Obsidian ring with a silver wire and when I went to order and choose my style I noticed the seller had a “intuitively chosen” option and I couldn’t resist. I received both rings two or three days ago and she had chosen Amethyst with a silver wire for my other ring which I thought was really nice given I am working on protecting myself my psychic attacks, bad/dark energy, stress and anxiety, etc. while developing my intuition and relationship with my inner self.
I have been wearing both of the rings on my right hand since getting them, and this morning I was looking at my rings and saw that **a pretty noticeably sized cloud has formed in my amethyst ring.** Yesterday I was reading about how to take care of both of the gemstones and remembered the note about how to cleanse Amethyst that has developed clouds and dullness and was so intrigued by the idea of a gemstone getting more dull and cloudy purely from energy.
What could this mean or symbolize? I feel like many online articles discuss this concept surrounding super old rings but this is so new and I know it 100% did not have this cloud, it is too noticeably white for me to have NOT noticed it! Any insight would be so appreciated! ????????

what is the significance of clouds forming in crystals? (specifically crystal jewelry you may wear daily, etc.)

Some think that stones absorb energy for/from you almost like a shield of protection and that when they break or cloud it means that they have either done their job or have filled to their capacity. You can cleanse your stone jewelry with with salt, moon light, or selenite. I don’t really know too much about it but am a jeweler and myself believe that when a stone breaks on you it has served its purpose and you are to move of from that piece of jewelry, same with lost jewelry. I’m sure there are other interpretations for the cloudiness as well.

Not to be rude but some crystals, especially rose quartz, fade and cloud with sunlight exposure, so regular wear and window lighting can change the appearance. I don’t think there is any metaphysical reason for this.
