Does anybody ever have this happen: you’re zoning out at a spot on the wall, or at a pattern like leaves, grass, wallpaper etc. and suddenly for about a second, an image appears and then disappears. Like maybe a spirit altered your perception to make you see a smiley face or a picture of a dog? What is that, is that scrying? Or related to scrying?
Ghosts seem to do this to me the most. I spend a lot of time zoned out tho. I’m not usually seeing the ghosts face, although that has happened before. It’s usually just some kind of smiley face or frown, or random image that they made appear for a split second and then it’s gone. (At least I think it’s a spirit doing it?) And then it disappears, and you’re looking at the spot or pattern again

What is this ability/phenomenon called ? Seeing an image for a brief moment while you’re zoning out at a pattern or a spot on the wall

This happens to me. I don’t know what it’s called, but I’ll see faces, symbols, etc.

This happens to me in this way: I unfocus/zone where time slows down and my vision blurs and then refocuses usually on people places and things in the past. Sometimes these visions are like short movies that last a few seconds to snapshots like an old movie reel. I smell odors- fires, horse manure, etc. but I feel like I am not in my body, like just a “visitor” or “watcher.” I am not “there” because I am just observing a moment or moments in the past. I cannot control when or where this happens.
