What was your experience(s) doing a professional or self guided past life regression?

Hi, curious to hear other people’s stories. I once went to a professional PLR therapist and was unable to really see anything or go into hypnosis at all. It sucked to have spent that money for nothing basically and it’s hard for me to believe other people can so easily do it lol. But I like watching PLR videos on youtube out of curiosity. And I definitely do believe in past lives. I want to try again sometime in the future with another therapist but am worried it would be another failure.

So what have your experiences been? What did you see and discover?

I did it with a group. I thought mine was something to be proud of – but lots of the people in the group were appalled with theirs.

I don’t 100% believe in past lives but I did one on my own several years ago using instructions I found online somewhere.

The person whose life I saw lived in a city I still don’t recognize – somewhere with an arid climate and lots of grey stone buildings. In his earlier life he spent a lot of his time travelling to nearby towns and helping defend them against bandits. As he got older he went back to his home city and joined the night watch, and during the day started building a library. Eventually he became obsessed with finding something in the desert (I didn’t get a clear impression of exactly what it was but it was a specific object he believed to be out there somewhere), and on his last attempt he got lost and died of heatstroke and dehydration.

i’ve done it twice successfully, both times i jumped back to the same girl i was back in what i’m guessing was victorian england. it was really cool. i had the best success when i meditated beforehand. then i’d imagine myself walking down a very long hallway. once in a meditative state, you reach the door. step through, and you’re “in” the past memory and can begin experiencing it.

my biggest pieces of advice are two things.

1) don’t let doubt about what you’re experiencing creep in. it can feel like you’re “making it up” as you go, so it doesn’t seem real or how you expect. but consider that you aren’t creating it out of thin air, it’s purposeful; it’s your intuition and your past guiding you through the memories.

2) once you step through the door, if your surroundings are unclear or you don’t know what’s happening, look at your shoes. they can give you a clue of the style, time period, gender, etc. and help you figure out your surroundings.

Some people are very disconnected from their past. I visited several my past lives, it was almost like watching short flashbacks from that life.

I do it on myself and I can also read for other people! I did a reading for a friend where I saw several of her past lives and it will come in a combo of words, phrases and flashes of images. I also did a reading recently on myself to find out about a past life I shared with a friend whom I feel very close to. We were in a concentration camp, but my view of it was from above and I heard the word “guide”…”powerful”, so it made me think maybe we were there together but then I died first and became my friend’s guide for the rest of the time. I also will hear names…I found out my one friend was a man named Donald in a past life and was a teacher and loved kids in the early 1990s. Random stuff…I would check out Dolores Cannon’s books where she records stories from other people’s past lives. It’s really interesting the way it’s written.

I asked about a certain girl I am involved with

I was a boy somewhere in Europe who ended up living with a beloved childhood friend(it’s her) although we kinda look like twins. She hugged me tightly and whispered, ‘I’ll never let you go’, as if saying we once were spearated but we will meet again.

We ran a farm with our family. With that it is showed in my vision that we will be reunited under the powers of a Goddess figure.

Currently, this person I’m talking about is faraway from me and living their life although I wish we are more involved with each other the distance is not helping.

I don’t know how much of this true since regressions also mixes imagination in it. But in my experience this is the realest session I had out of 2.

I did a self guided one on YouTube and always get such interesting flashes. One of my flashes I was doing drugs and died that way. Everything looked very 60’s/70’s. I never do drugs and don’t even like taking over the counter things so I found that really interesting. I also had a flash where I died in a car accident. I remember I was wearing a blue sweater and the car was really old fashioned. I was looking down at the scene like when they talk about floating up over the body and I wasn’t sure if I was the adult or the child that was laying there. It was raining too and no one was around. It kinda felt like a California mountain road. I’ve never even been to California but from what I’ve seen it reminded me of that.

I did a self guided one, and got a pretty detailed experience.

I was a girl, somewhere in early 1900’s Europe, France if I had to guess, named either Tabatha or Agatha, I didn’t hear the name very clearly. I had long light brown hair worn in braids, blue-green eyes, and freckles. I was from a village somewhere in the mountains, and at night I liked to sit alone outside the outskirts of the village and look at the stars, especially after it snowed. My parents wanted me to marry young, and I was scared. When I got older I left the village and my family to live in a city by the sea. I met a man, and fell in love, but when he asked me to marry him I still wasn’t sure I was ready. He smiled and said he understood, and that he could wait. We sat and had tea in a cafe, I had a cup with gold and forget-me-nots on the rim. Then I went home, and wrote it all in a diary, and drew the man’s smile. Eventually I did marry him, and we had 3 children, 2 boys and a girl. I lived a long life, and died happy, with my children at my bedside, and my husband holding my hand and smiling at me.

Another interesting experience that ties in with this one is that months before I tried this I had a dream about my current self and a relatively recent ex boyfriend of mine, and in the dream I served him tea in the same forget-me-not patterned cup that I had in the plr later.

I tried a past life regression video on YouTube and I just saw a flash or two. I went in trying to understand why certain things were happening in my life and I saw myself as a redheaded woman named Caterina which I think is known as Catherine in a more modern terminology. My love abandoned me and rode off in a horse cart and out of spite I removed my sapphire wedding ring. It was interesting because sapphires are one of my favourite stones, looks like certain things stuck to me even through my next lives!

Did a group PLR many years ago. I was a teacher in St. Louis in the 1860s. Got a name which I won’t mention here. Have Googled it here and there with no results. Felt like I was making it up, tbh.
