one of my close friends recently found their abuser and is mad that he’s happy in life. he is a terrible person and doesn’t deserve to have the success he does. if i hex/curse him would anything bad happen to me?

I’m of the persuasion to say no, IF you know for an absolute fact that everything terrible you’ve been told about him is true. I feel that someone being a garbage person who spreads negativity is more than enough protection for someone wishing to give them a taste of their medicine. I still try to protect myself by generally only invoking karmic repercussions on them, based on their own actions/energies though

With that said, it all comes down to your personal ethics and traditions when it comes to the Craft. I’m very much a dark leaning grey witch, those on the lighter side of the spectrum will likely be horrified at the very idea

People are very hellbent on getting permission but that’s some fluffy stuff. Nothing wrong with it but it ain’t my cup of tea. I’ve never asked for permission in my life for the work I do.

I also assume it depends on your belief around karma. I don’t believe in karma, and ever since I stopped, it stopped affecting me as well. I believe karma is energy we take and send out or put upon ourselves cause we feel guilty.

So we basically send out that energy or give into it. I ain’t about that shit, so I cut it and stopped feeling so guilty about my practice.

So do as you will based on your belief I guess or however you feel.

I am in no way questioning what your friend had told you; however, unless you saw the abuse yourself, let your friend do the hex. Triangles are rarely a good thing in baneful magic.

They might’ve changed. I mean a lot of bad people I know went to prison and when they go out they become very sweet and good people. Of course, it works vise versa. So, I think if they’re living a good life then because they’ve changed from being abusers.
