Whats a substitute for Caraway seeds?

Caraway has historically been synonymous with mint. Both have a similar flavour and much older magics are sympathetic based. So I’d say mint leaves would be your best go to. Alternatively you could use fennel seeds.

Ì agree with a previous comment, you should research and find a substitute, do not look for a substitute for the caraway seed, substitute for the intention of the work. Caraway is used in protection from the material and spiritual dangers, in health magick, increasing spiritual power, and in the devotional aspects of love magick. Find a substitute that matches the intent of the work.

The properties of a spice are largely in the taste of it, why would a food substitution not work?
I would use fennel seeds, personally.
