If you ask several different questions, but they’re all about the same situation/topic, and you repeatedly get a few cards showing up in almost every reading..how do you interpret that?

Do you think it’s an OVERALL message regarding that situation or do you just read it in the context of the specific question you asked?

I’ve asked about 20 questions about a specific situation over the course of 4 months and I repeatedly get 3 cards showing up! I kept reading them in the context of the specific question and the card’s position in the spread. However, I recently saw someone post on here about a card showing up a lot may be meaning to tell you something. So I started wondering if I needed to look outside the specific questions and start looking at the big picture – what these repeated cards mean.

    What do you think?

    Yeah, always context first.

And there’s an obvious message you must decrypt there.

Cards show you what you NEED to see, not what you want them to tell you.

Adding that… tarot is a mirror… so instead of looking up keywords somewhere else… ask yourself and meditate about the situation, cards help you to see it better, just that.

Have nice a nice day 🙂

I’ve had certain cards pop up over and over again. The seven of pentacles hasnt left me alone in over a year now ???? They tend to hang around until you learn the lesson. It can also be an indicator to that particular time period or person. When the message isn’t obvious or it seems I somehow missed it I try to think about all the possible pieces and read several different meanings for the cards (i.e. my deck guide, the og riderwaite, and the pictorial tarot) to see if it knocks anything loose up there or helps me see it in a different light. I’ve found tarot can be deeply personal, especially if you have history with the deck. Mine will call me out forcefully and I am not ready for it at the time, but writing the spreads and cards can help you see the patterns and connect the dots a lot easier. Trust your intuition and best of luck with your readings!

In my experience when a card shows up that much it’s usually because you’re reading too much on the same topic without meaningful interruptions between readings and/or because the meaning of the card has to be examined in depth. It also depends on how many cards you draw each time/for each question. I tend to see it as a very annoyed friend that says “I told you, I think xyz” when you keep on asking the same thing over and over again.

Being stalked by “The World” for a couple months myself, I would suggest reading less on the topic, studying the card or cards in depth and keeping the readings simple, drawing few cards (if that applies to you).

Tarot cards can get pretty sassy lol. For me it usually means: here it is! Here is what you need to know! It seems to ask you to go more in depth with your interpretation of that card specifically and apply it.

You can do a “stalker spread” to further explore why you’re getting that card and what you’re missing in its message.

Perhaps a contrary opinion, but repeating cards happen because odds exist (ie cards are going to repeat themselves because there is a finite number of cards and a finite number of pulls) and there’s nothing special that needs to be read into the meaning beyond applying the card as you would apply any other card.

Some cards just follow you around in my opinion, i think its the cards trying to tel you something. For me ive had the 3 of swords following me around after my breakup but i feel fine however the cards say im not, I suspect there’s lingering sadness there but sometimes im too blind or prideful to see it. Or another example ive had the 6 of swords following me around after i recently got into korean culture lol, they’re trying to say SOMETHING.
