Something I’ve noticed—partially because I’m a Virgo, and partially because I’ve recently run into some other chaotic earth suns by chance—is that there is a very specific kind of energy that chaotic people with earth suns possess. I’m having issues describing it lol, but like, one of my friends is a Virgo and the switch she makes between business woman and woman-who-calls-you-from-Alaska-on-a-Tuesday-because-she-just-needed-to-see-a-real-log-cabin is an impressive thing but somehow… still so Earth sun of her? Like when Earth suns are chaotic there’s somehow a lot and a little thought put into whatever they’re doing at the same time. Does anyone feel like this? I’m having so much trouble wording it ahhh.
ETA: Anyway. Yes, my friend really did do that after a breakup.

I swear caps and virgos are high-functioning emotional roller-coasters. I’m a virgo rising and I can relate to your virgo friend. When i go through a crisis i get it in my head that I’m going to *methodically* re-invent myself and make myself a better person so i don’t go through that experience again. I’ve definitely thought about just moving to another country without telling anyone. But I’d get my shit together first, y’know?
A lot of earth suns I’ve known have this serious aura about them but have a wild streak that comes out once they’re comfortable (got cap sun, venus, mercury too so I’m biased).

Virgo stellium- when I’m chaotic it’s very planned chaotic. It’s like yes I moved to Norway yesterday no I didn’t tell you yes I’m going to become a gypsy no I didn’t forget anything. Thank you for your time and consideration, I’ll keep you updated if anything happens.

I’d definitely be looking at what the other placements are that combine with the earth sun. See if you can find a common occurrence there. Such as the combo your other commenter mentioned of an earth sun with an aries moon. Or some other key mars-related placement, etc. Though it could be uranus as well.

As a child of 2 Taurus sun, Virgo ascendant parents (both within a degree of each other) this is scary accurate
My dad plans everything in his head, but doesn’t make the announcement until he’s walking out the door. He does the grocery shopping and will always say “ok where is the list? I’m leaving”. And the list isn’t ready because he didn’t share his timeframe to leave lol

I am 100% one of the most chaotic people ive ever met and i am a virgo sun, virgo venus, virgo jupiter and a taurus rising.. but my moon and mercury are in Leo which has all that drama and flair and fire! lol
In terms of career i feel like i am always on point.. but anything else im a hot mess. I lose shit all the time, if my head wasnt attached to my body i would lose that too. Im always always forgetting things, i spill shit constantly… its the small details that make me chaotic.. even though virgos are supposed to be detail oriented.. but big important things are always planned perfectly sooo idk! lol

I can’t help reading sidereal into this. Tropical earth is sidereal fire… As a tropical cap sun taurus moon, sidereal sag sun aries moon, I can def be very chaotic underneath exteriors, and some say sidereal is a deeper side of you

I’m a Virgo sun with an Aries moon and yeah, I am pure unadulterated chaos but somehow I still have my shit together?? I don’t get it either.

Virgoes are mutable earth. So think sand dunes and landslides. Possibly earthquakes, but I feel that is Taurean.
Virgo energy is nervous and unstable.
Capricorn is cardinal and therefore will move, adjust and change to make progress. Cap is not unstable. But they are ambitious, and don’t typically feel comfortable being stagnant.
Taurus is stable. Only Leo is more stable. If you have an erratic Taurus, I’d love to see their chart. Their Mercury and especially Venus would likely be in Aries and/or Gemini, and even that’s not enough to destabilize Taurus. Taurus is the opposite of chaos. They are here to prevent it.
Earth S/M/R all have fire in the 12th house, which is our link to the subconscious. IOW, a latent passion within Earth signs, that they don’t know about, until circumstances enable it to surface. The famous, infrequent Taurus rages are their latent Aries 12th house. Virgos ability to function well alone is their innate stability from the Leo 12th house. Capricorn periodical indulgence in fun, to offset their usual dutifulness, is the latent Sagittarius 12th house.

I’m a Capricorn sun and Virgo rising and I think I know exactly what you mean. I don’t know if I should attribute this to my Aries moon but I feel like it’s def earth energy… I am super impulsive. As soon as a major life event occurs in my life, I want to make a huge major change in my appearance, my life, where I live, etc. At The same time I’m super type A and I’m super critical of myself in a bit of a perfectionist. Is this what you mean?

I understand! I’ve my phases of being impulsive. The thing is I’ve an Aries sister who’s doing impulsive things 24×7. We get surprised when she actually plans things out & sticks to it. Similar with earth suns. We do impulsive rarely & that’s why it sticks out more I feel! People are quick to notice & get surprised.

Cap sun here, but my Scorpio moon makes me emotionally chaotic in an uncontrolled way at times…

My sun is in Virgo, but the rest of my chart is air and fire dominant (Libra rising, Aquarius moon, Leo Mercury and Venus), and I feel like I tend to be… impulsive in a really controlled sort of way… not exactly sure how to describe it
