Which aspect can cause someone to become “addicted” to the other person in a synastry chart?

Is it Neptune or Pluto or something else? What planet has to be aspected by these? If both, what’s the difference between these 2 ways of “getting addicted”?

It can be caused by many things, the individual configuration of a chart is unique and ‘addiction’ to a person is a complicated concept. I know 8th house synastry can definitely make that happen

Pluto aspects, hands-down.

I don’t quite agree with Neptune as an asnwer. Neptune can have that otherworldy effect, not knowing where you end and they begin, having the feeling you’ve known them all your life, thinking highly of them, and escaping your problems by being with them. But nothing screams possessiveness and addiction like Pluto. It’s definitely ‘you’re mine and we’ll stay together no matter how bad’ effect.

Saturn can contribute longevity to a relationship. Check your charts. Most lifelong relationships have a Saturn aspect in the synastry.

definitely could be pluto and neptune. pluto has a more obsessive and controlling “you’re mine” energy to it, and neptune is a relationship where one or both people sort of idealize one another and are most of the time creating something in their heads which makes it harder to let go. this especially applies if there’s any hard aspects with these planets. also look at the 7h,8h,12h, nodes and venus to see if there’s any planets interacting in those areas.

And astrology apart, never forget your body chemicals (hormons) and psychology of the people involved. In a community which barely touches one another, touching someone can become very pleasant and addictive, insecure and unhappy people may see the partner as the only way to happiness. But you need to be happy alone or you will never be happy in a relationship. 🤷‍♂️

moon-mars. the moon person will be especially prone. pluto doesn’t rly influence much on an interpersonal level unless you have tight aspects with sun/moon/rising/merc/venus/mars. but for relationships, i would discount anything but sun/moon. same goes for neptune.
