JessicaParticipantIt’s all in the title. The immediate one that springs to mind is the Tower but i’m not sure if it is a ‘shock’ and i’m not sure if it’s the best depiction of it.

I’d say sword court cards could work…depending on the context. Also maybe 4 of cups (reversed)…
Really depends what kind of “shock” you mean?

GuestFebruary 8, 2021 at 3:48 am7 of wands is about surprise, but not necessarily shock. Wands and swords generally impart the swiftness of shock. A reversed page of swords may bring shocking news, or a reversed knight of swords may represent a shocking event taking place.

GuestFebruary 8, 2021 at 3:48 amIt depends on what you mean by “shock”.
Ten of swords can also reference a shock and often does in my own readings.

GuestFebruary 8, 2021 at 3:48 amTower can but also 8 of Wands and Five of Swords, depending on where the shock is coming from and how it is affecting the user. Five of Swords is mental conflict, so if they are up in their heads and mixed up about the information they are seeing, then that can be fitting. 8 of Wands can be a very direct, unexpected situation or communication that can certainly end up with someone being taken off guard. It of course depends on the situation and what kind of shock we are referring to here and, again, how whatever caused the shock is affecting the person being read for.
