Just a thought I had today – who’s more manipulative – Gemini or Sagittarius?

I feel like Saggitarius is good at gaslighting and making you believe that what you saw isn’t true. Geminis want to be intellectually superior. Both are disregarding your emotions.

Both are mutable so both have the capacity to adapt to the situation and use manipulation. Gemini works in smaller doses and can change their persona to get what they want, Sagittarius works on a larger scale and will influence the vibe or the situation to bend people to their will. Like a Gemini will match personalities or pretend to be something they are not. Sagittarius is loud and grand, so they aren’t changing who they are, but they are “affecting” the feelings and thoughts others have toward them to their benefit. Like social manipulation (Gemini) vs charisma (Sagittarius). Gemini is small and uses social cues and manipulation of social skills and Sagittarius is big and uses general vibes and manipulation of the social atmosphere. Mercury (small, fast, detailed, and invasive) vs Jupiter (big, expansive, enveloping, lucky and charismatic.)

I feel like Geminis are more manipulative about getting ahead whereas Sagittarius can be manipulative out of fear or pain.

I used to be friends with a Gemini until I realized he only wanted things from me, like an invite to soho house or to help with networking connections or whatever. Once I stopped participating and would be like lets just go get tacos or go to a random bar, suddenly they never wanted to hang out.

Sagittarius I feel like has been manipulative in acting super interested and in love out of loneliness rather than trying to hurt the other person. Its definitely gross but I think there’s an underlining guilt associated.

Sagittarius hands down.

Gemini can be two faced but ultimately, what it wants to do is mess with you and catch you off your game. It can be frustrating to deal with but Mercury overall as its ruler isn’t invested in the idea of manipulating you to do its bidding but rather taking whatever information it can and finding a way for it to be applied. This does mean they can be super calculating but then you have Sagittarius – the epic gaslighted. It’s great at making you believe whatever it wants you to believe. It’s also fantastic at projecting onto another person (I mean, it’s represented by a Centaur and its symbol has Arrow-like iconography). It also is far more capable and reliant on its charm and charisma to get away with anything. It’s Sagittarius is kind of a love ’em and leave ’em sign. Ultimately what it’s here to do is *experience* things. It’s not inherently built for longevity. So it’ll do whatever it needs to do in the moment to get the experience it wants and then move onto another.

Obviously a more evolved and grown Sagittarius would recognize the power of its influence and not do this. Same with a more evolved and grown Gemini recognizing starting shit for the sake of starting shit isn’t a cure for its boredom. But in the case of the unevolved? Yeah. It’s 100% Sagittarius.

I have a friend who dates a Sagittarius and they tend to be more manipulative emotionally… i’m on cusp of 3rd decan Scorpio and 1st decan Sag and Sag are more persuasive than any Scorp who tend to say things the way they are… while Sag had stayed quiet for a very long time.
