Honestly, as things are going I’m probably going to be that witch ancestor that spoils and validates future generations from the afterlife.

granny’s great aunt Eun (pronounced yoon) was supposedly some kind of witch and the old story is when she was old this guy basically refused to carry her corn to the mill so she turned him into a mule and rode him there in his sleep. guy supposedly wakes up with bloody hands and feet. who knows, that’s the story tho.

Not really a witch in my family per say, but I definitly got my grandpa’s flair for dramatics and wierdness (by shitty society standards), he had over 300 historic swords in his house, all of the originals and most of the 300+ years old so yeah definitly got that from him, with a healthy additude to not give a flying fuck 😅

My mom. At least 60% of all our conversations revolve around plants and herbs – meaning I ask and she explains.

Thanks for reminding me that Sarah Andersen’s comics exist. It’s been a while since I’d seen one.

Most first borns on my paternal side. We’ve had quite a few shamans, notably my grandma, she worked really well with spirits.

The origin story of my paternal side is pretty witchy too. It was the union of a woman from a family that specialized in curses and a man that was from a witch doctor family. So now, every first born marries their opposite, generally a healer (even if non witchy).

My late grandmother on my mother’s side considered herself a Catholic, but she had this irrefutable witchiness about her. She sung, danced, loved animals and nature. She even had a passion for Astrology (which is often frowned upon by Catholics). I’d like to think that she’s still singing and dancing wherever she is now 🙂

Besides me, late great aunt and younger son. They were/are both finders of lost things. I’m the kind of psychic that lets me read people, but I can’t see the future, although tarot helps. I can control small objects, like dice, to some extent.

I inherited a number of books on magic from my great-aunt: Transcendental Magic, its Doctrine and Ritual by Éliphas Lévi, The History of Magic by Éliphas Lévi and A Treatise on White Magic by Alice Bailey.

She was a mathemathics teacher and amateur fencer who lived in a house in the woods with her friend.
