Why do these scammers always ask for a picture of your left hand? I get why they ask DOB and stuff but why the hand?

DOB is helpful in identity theft. And it is Astrology, not mediumship if they want your DOB.Palmistry requires a palm print. Neither are mediumship.They are divination.
Mediumship is communication with spirit. It does not require a palm print or any identifiers.
I test mediums for another subreddit. If they ask my DOB, my sign, my whole name or anything that could be used to create a fake ID or look me up on Astrocafe’, they are not communicating with spirit. They are using online divination tools that I could use all by myself.
Handprints can be fed into a program that kicks out a reading. It can also be used in identity theft.
If they ask your age, they are using People Sesrch engines. Not mediumship. Tomfoolery.

DOB is sometimes used as a clairvoyant target to help a reader anchor or focus on a distance read. This is specifically true in remote viewing but you can also assign a random number to your target so long as it is consistent.
You can also use a photograph. However the earlier comment on identify theft is valid and I wouldn’t give my DOB to a reader I didn’t trust with my whole heart.

well it can be fingerprint related issue too, if you understand I ask my clients for their picture or their places so I can absorb vibes , but yeah I never asked DOB
