Capricorn energy comes off as pessimistic, condescending, and just closed off. They’re generally not the most friendly or welcoming.

But as soon as someone wants something done and done right, they suddenly don’t seem to hate them anymore.

I’m into it! Caps are no more stubborn than Aries or Taurus & they are not more condescending than Virgo. They MIGHT be as pessimistic as Scorps, but less emo.

They also work hard, have wicked senses of humor, and they almost always know what they are doing – you can come to a cap for advice. They might not be super tactful and supportive, but I have found they’ll generally be honest.

When you look at the image of Capricorn sign, the Seagoat. We have half our body grounded in reality, climbing that never ending mountain. Yes we may butt heads with people but generally that because we’re so honest and people prefer to take offence rather than see the truth. Sometimes we can’t see the truth because we are tired from all that mountain climbing, and butting heads.

What people fail to see is the other side of us. The tail beneath the water. The deeper side to us where we feel more. We dream of nothing more than giving it all up and swimming in peace without the pressure to perform.

We feel the fear of never being able to reach that mountain top, and that pressure leads us to analyse everything. To strive for more. But we burn out. And lash out when the world is unfair. We’ve got targets that aren’t achievable because essentially how can a creature with a tail reach the top of a mountain? Our struggles are in vain and that’s hard to handle.

This causes a great deal of sadness with being a Cap that nobody understands unless they are Cap or they *see* it first hand. People think we are superior because we want to achieve the best and are critical, but we are critical when we see a missed opportunity one that we wish we could take. And we feel inferior when we can’t achieve. The superiority is inferiority in disguise. Helping is at our core because we’ve felt the burden of nobody helping us. The pain we feel is what drives us to try to course correct the pain that your future self may feel. But that’s our fear and we need to let that go, but often can’t.

We’re not pessimists or optimists, we’re realists. We use logic to solve problems, the logic created from failed attempts of getting up that mountain, and we want to share that but people misunderstand our meaning.

Our innocent questions come off as intrusive, our opinions come off as moaning and our care comes off as patronising. We know we don’t mean it. But for some reason it seems impossible at times to communicate without causing offense.

All we want from others are *reasons* why something *will* work, we’ve already thought about why it won’t. Most people don’t like to give us reasons. But we like all the information to access the easiest path the take up that mountain. We’ve fallen too many times to risk another stumble.

And when we fall we land in that ocean so deep we don’t think we can ever make it out. Our heads choking as our tails want to dive. We stay for a while alone in the ocean wondering if instead we can grow gills and live in the water, away from the land, away from world. We drift and we stagnate, time passes, time heals, and then we see that mountain from a new angle. A new hope. A approach. We swim to the shore and we start to climb once more, believing this time we will not fail. An endless cycle of hope and despair.

I don’t know this is probably too deep. But It’s how I see why others don’t like us. They don’t know us.

I don’t hate Capricorn per say; but I get super annoyed when I know more about something than they do and they keep arguing about why they’re right even though I have evidence that says they’re wrong.

Other than that, we usually get along.

Never met a Capricorn who didn’t consider themselves better than everyone around them. Never met a Capricorn who ever considered what others told them. Always did their own thing no matter how wrong it was and would turn extremely defensive if asked about it after the fact. This includes friends, family(luckily not immediate) and even people I only barely know but mutuals have told me about. My sample size is large enough to warrant a reflexive cringe every time I’m told someone’s a Capricorn. I realize of course this does not apply to all people, everyone is different. But it’s a behavioral pattern I’ve personally experienced.

Lol because Caps are real af and not reletable.

People love those who would go along with their BS, suppport their BS, pretend things to stay seemingly close and overal act in the same manner as them.

For example, most people would do completely iratononal/dumb things/drama shit in their relationships. Most Caps won’t do so because they are rational/logical and besides, they might even tell their firends “yoo, just move on, don’t be dumb”. So people will end up being like- “This one is not relateble and won’t even support my bs. They seem as some kind of alien, cold hearted psycho and who knows what they are up to. They seriously go on my nerver. I hate ’em.

So, IF and when others hate on Caps, it’s just their problem. Not due Caps being actually bad or something.

Because they don’t take shit from anyone and are not afraid to show it, they simply can’t be manipulated, pushed around – and people don’t like that.

Ikr, they are a tough cookie, as so many others have stated. But my boyfriend, along with another really close friend are Capricorns and I love them to pieces. If they genuinely love and care about you, they will help you with whatever you need, whenever you need it. They loving helping so much, it’s almost freaky. My Cap friend gave me his old gaming rig and offered to bring it over via Lyft, even though I have a car. I had to convince him that I didn’t mind driving over to his place, which is about an hour away.

Once I actually saw the computer and tested it out, I lightly teased him about how crazy it would have looked carrying this giant rig to an Uber. And he actually agreed with me 😂

As a Cap with a cap stellium, I think it’s fair.

Here are some reasons why some might hate on Caps:

    – Caps see very clearly what COULD be achieved and to them it’s understood that this SHOULD be achieved. “It is the same picture.” Anybody half assing things or being content with “good enough” will be watched with contempt.

This, predictably, and rightly so, alienates people, especially co-workers. Doesn’t help to know that they hold themselves to the same high standards.

    – Caps feel deeply and are afraid to be the fool in the end if feelings are not reciprocated, so they can be guarded and/or shy and keep their feelings close to their hearts.

So people perceive them as cold and emotionsless.

    – Caps draw very firm lines around those they feel close to and/or respect and all the rest. And it can take quite some time to include someone in the inner circle.

If you are in the inner circle, Caps can be very helpful, caring, reliable and generous.

As long as you are in the outer circle… well, Cap will only treat you well if they expect to get something out of the transaction. For themselves or “their people” or their company or whatever they identify with. They are very selfish that way. And this, of course again, rightly so, rubs a lot of people the wrong way.

In conclusion: if for some reason you earned the respect and/or heart of a Cap, you will have the most loyal and caring spouse / friend / employee and you will be surprised by their depths.

If for some reason a Cap doesn’t think very highly of you, you will see their ugly side, and it is ugly (everything described here: condescending, stubborn, know-it-alls, selfish, etc.).

    Likely bad work ethics.

Only have here and there Leo temper problems with unjustified bossy Cap males.

    For the most love Capricorns.

Never met a Capricorn who wasn’t obsessed with making money

Or didn’t have the “my way or the highway” attitude

And just being extremely controlling in general.
