I know they're different. In my research, even authors who state they're not interchangeable terms seem to then use them interchangeably, but I don't know if it's because modern witchcraft has adopted so much of wiccan rituals and customs or the reverse (altar tools, etc. that are modeled after the 4 treasures) and I'm just wondering how much of it is necessary? How much of it is wiccan specifically. I'm not trying to offend anyone; I just really want to avoid anything to do with Wicca and try to find whatever there was before it or the golden dawn or whatever else.
If you're not sure what I'm asking, neither am I. I am not a religious person. I'm looking for something though, I think. TIA
