That last line really hit me.

This will not stand. There are more of us now than the Christian right. I know it seems bad now but this is how you purge your house of nasty little demons. You have to let them show you all of their tricks and nastynous so that the anger swells in all.
Hopefully thos is the death knell for these pieces of shits. -

From one poet to another, this is an absolute triumph. One can define art as anything created with the intent to stir emotion, and by that definition you have been eminently successful. Language is telepathy, empathy, and I can feel every milligram of your anger and your sadness, but also your power and your strength. Thank you for sharing this.

Funny how the Right is so quick to object to abortion but they don’t mind the death penalty, war, or “letting” people who have brain damage die from purposely withheld food and water (Terri Schiavo–anyone remember her, or Karen Quinlan?) It was acceptable to courts to allow these women to die. The Supreme Court refused to consider the Schiavo case. Clearly they weren’t worried about stopping someone from ending her life! Let’s face it, even before Alito we have barely been considered human. We are useful objects that should be put to death when we’re no longer Cheesecake. We are holes to these politicians and their institutions.

Thank you for these strong and powerful words. I stand with those who believe that women should have body autonomy and that no government should have a say. And I am afraid.
