🤣 probably because we take our anger and murderous thoughts out on them chores. Except gardening, that’s meditation.

Yeah…any menial/repetitive task allows you to fall into a meditative state long enough to forget the fact that there are studies out there spewing patriarchal nonsense.

I liked how they didn’t reference washing the car, mowing the lawn, cleaning the garage, or any other ‘masculine’ chores. “Hey ladies! Get to cleaning!”

Ugh I say as someone with ADHD. Cleaning is my least favorite after a mentally exhausting work day. Doesn’t wine help with heart health? I’ll do that instead

I don’t wanna live to be too old, so I’ll be avoiding the dishes and keeping the gardening. Thank you.

What, ladies, aren’t we concerned about men’s heart health? We’ve been hogging the lifesaving magic of dishwashing for way too long! Now they can have it 😂

My post-hysterectomy instructions used the term “light housework” as a descriptor for activity I could resume after a couple weeks. Oh gee, thanks! /s

What in the name of patriarchal horseshit is this?

Weird way of saying “physical activity keeps you healthy” did they compare housework to other forms of exercise?

I hate gardening and I think the stress of doing it would increase my chances.

My dad enjoys doing the dishes because it calms him. But… yeah, I’m going to need to see your study and your numbers.
