badbean666MemberCat seemed scared and hissed at the tarot card deck. They were in the package near my pillow. Once he saw them he slowly crawled towards them, hissed a few times and slapped them.
In the past he never showed this kind of reaction toward cards, he would actually be near and roll on the ground when I was reading them.
There is probably a normal explanation, but what do y’all think?

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmJust a gut feeling.. thoroughly clease your deck. Whichever method you find effective.
Then arrange them in solitaire formation. Hover your hands above the cards with sole intention of clearing out the stagnant energies of past readings and unknown beyond that and request cards to align with you and only you once again. Thank them n gather to shuffle. You can use crystals, sage, incense, energy healing… Anything you trust.
If possible check your cat’s reaction after this. And maybe update us too?!
Best wishes! 💝🧿

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmCats are jealous of the attention anything gets. Playing a game and you get a cat in your lap or on your keyboard. Cards get attention? New rival of cat.

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmMy first thought is that it’s a deck with bad energy. Maybe try cleaning them and see if your cat still reacts that way…

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmIs it a new deck? Second hand? One you’ve used before?
Have you cleansed it, since the last reading/opening/getting said deck?
What was the last question asked etc?
If we don’t protect ourselves correctly whilst reading we can encourage low vibrational entities that can linger and need shooing away. They’re enticed anyway due to our sensitivities.

There isn’t. Cats don’t just hiss at inanimate objects they’re already familiar with.
Cats hiss to show displeasure at *strange things that feel unknown or threatening*.
It sounds like your deck has taken on some malevolent energy. Were you playing with a Ouija board, or calling out to spirits recently?
I would immediately wrap your deck in a velvet cloth with a sprinkle of salt, a white crystal, and leave it under a full moon overnight.

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmThis deck is menacing is in-house supremacy. Your cats wants total domination of all energies around your place. The deck could shake things in a bad way for him… Be cautious!

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmThank you all for your opinions and suggestions!
To give more info:
The cards are bought new from the internet, they’re the modern witch deck, not reflective or special in any way. They were in the box when he slapped them.
They have been sleeping with me for about 2 week until the situation. I am not sure if he has noticed them before or not.
I was asking a question about an argument I had with somebody which left a bad taste in my mouth.
I’ll probably cleanse them and after that get him to pick a card or maybe do a reading for him!
But I don’t doubt the possibility that he was being a cat, doing cat stuff and swinging randomly like cats do. :))

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmI know everyone is saying to just ignore the cat’s reaction but if it were me ‐ I’d always wonder if there was some unseen force affecting those cards
If it was me, I’d discard those cards in a respectful way and buy a new deck.

GuestSeptember 30, 2022 at 11:43 pmIt probably smelt like an animal, maybe rats that ran over it at the store.
