Do you believe in evolved and unevolved signs? Why?

My personal opinion is that if between 2 of the same signs you met, one was more mature and wise and the other wasn’t, I’m pretty sure it had to do with other placements and aspects they had in their chart.

I’m 100% sure there is no such thing as evolved and unevolved signs, it’s the placements and aspects that make the whole difference.

I think it’s less that signs actually evolve, and more that the person has learned some self-control and evolved themselves so that the negative qualities of their sign are lessened or stay in check.

Also Scorpios might get mad if you say they can’t be an eagle (their sign does have an ‘evolution’).

I do think you’re right to an extent though – like someone’s natal chart is gonna dictate how willing they are to mature and learn, and negative or positive qualities of other signs are also going to be contributing to our perception of how ‘evolved’ someone is.

I agree, I don’t really think about it in that ‘evolved – unevolved’ our whole birth chart is important when it comes to understand both our strenght and weakness. Not only signs but aspects between them. For example two people might have the same sun sign but one person has a sun – Saturn square and another has sun – Venus trine and the expression of that placement will be different. A birth chart is generally an unique map of our whole unique life and it’s way more detailed than just a few placements. And also the energy of a sign or a planet or a house is often quite broad and we have to use our own self- reflection to see how exactly it’s playing in our life. So there will often be an evolution, because we all grow and change to bigger or lesser extent. But we shouldn’t be taking other people as a point of reference, because again this evolution will be still unique to us

While I agree with the general sentiment that the whole chart is more informative than just the sun sign, there are definitely ways that the sun sign on its own can indicate potentially well adjusted vs maladjusted patterns of behavior. How likely someone leans towards one or the other can absolutely show up in aspects, but many aspects in a chart can represent temporary events in one’s life rather than ongoing traits. In this case, I think you can see an “evolution.” But yes, definitely look at the whole chart.

I don’t think the terms are mutually exclusive like people think they are.

I do think charts with a lot of difficult aspects can cause a boom of personal growth in the individual if they learn how to navigate them.

Oh definitely. A person’s nature is always the result of the astrology plus the native’s personal choices . So, immature and mature use is not a result of aspects but development, free will and choice.

Two people can have the same energy and aspects and use the energy differently, use the energy lowly or transcendently.

I don’t agree that some archetypal stuff is immature or mature, it just is nature and can be used for good or bad but is neutral in itself.

I’ve evolved as a Sag. I was pretty much the stereotypical emotionally unavailable womanizer due to having a mother who was basically gone my whole childhood. Now I’m happily married 5 years and being the parent I wish I had had.

Evolved, unevolved.. You might just call it growing up. But I am definitely a much different person now, than I was then, and not the Scorpio everyone on the internet says I am. I am the Scorpio stellium that people who know astrology and meet me, say I can’t possibly be.

Wow ok… I’m not sure how you explain how someone could act maturely in one situation and immaturely in another. Or the fact that people are capable of learning and growing. If they weren’t, then we couldn’t hold them responsible for their actions.

I don’t think of it as evolved-that’s the wrong word for it anyway-but every sign, planet, house, and aspect has qualities that are positive or negative, and both types exist within the person. Like I have a heavily aspected mars in 7th house Capricorn. It’s the apex planet of a t-square involving a triple conjunction and a true grand trine involving another conjunction. I am determined. I am capable of bringing emotional strength to my tasks. I’m all the good vibes stuff of those aspects. But i will fight. I’m a real mean bitch and it’s so easy for me to say exactly the right thing to hurt someone, and when I don’t like someone? They know. Shit’s complicated.
