After 2 years of sexual harassment and discrimination, I have today officially filed my complaint about this with the investigative team of HR.
Two years of weekly nagging about my clothes, my relationship status and just my womanhood overall are going to be history. Two years of being treated as a dumb fragile little girl in desperate need of strong male guidance are coming to an end. Done with the screaming matches to get my point across without interruption. No more just playing behaviors off as “that’s just a thing he does, don’t worry about it”.
    Playtime is over.
And that’s just my case. This is excluding the stalking he did to another coworker in and outside of the office and the targeted persuit of young women in the department.

We have banded together. Arms linked and backs straight. We are not crazy or silly girls who misread the situation. I turned in 5 pages describing the harassment by your hands.
I am sad there are women on the team afraid to report. Rather blaming themselves for the situation you pushed them in.
You treat us like prey for you to hunt and pick at at your leisure.

I am not prey. I’m Diana.

I’m sorry you have to put up with this bullshit at work. I hope they skewer and roast him.

PLEASE keep us updated! I love reading about disgusting predators suffering the consequences of their actions.

Good on you and everyone at the office banding together.

Get a lawyer. HR protects the company not the employees under the guise of “human services”

Kick ass! I had a good experience doing that. TLDR: My old boss got sacked because the office banded together and took out complaints to HR. Now, 3.5yrs later, everything is still awesome.

It took about ten minutes for me to see my new boss was an ass. My new coworkers had been working under him for years and years, and his boss (a woman!) protected him. He yelled at the women (not the men) in the office, belittled anyone with new ideas (me), micromanaged, and treated us all like criminals. No one in the office did anything to deserve any of it. The list goes on and on.

A few months after I was hired, his boss (the protector) left. A new guy took her place. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing, and told me to email him if anything weird happened. He got an email by the end of the week, and forwarded it to HR.

A few months of long, emotional interviews later, he was “offered retirement.” He left at lunch, and never came back lol, what a drama queen. My colleagues have thanked me more than once for taking the lead to get rid of him.

My more senior coworker was promoted, and he totally deserved it. The office is a happy, calm place to be now. Good luck!

I felt the way you described six months ago. I am now at a different company. Be careful. They will tell you exactly what you want to hear to buy time until they can manufacture enough rope to hang you with. I recommend you decide between hiring a lawyer and hiring a recruiter.

I highly recommend looking over the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s website. Look for official buzzwords that they use, like “protected class” or “hostile work environment”.

When you’re in the meeting with HR, be very very clear to them that if they fail to address this sexual harassment, they are in violation of the EEO act. The buzzwords help them know that you’ve researched your rights, and help the threat of legal action be implicit. (If you don’t want to officially declare “I will sue you if you don’t fix this”)

But you need it there. They need to understand that you will sue, and that you know you’ll win. (If they’re an experienced business, *they* know you’ll win, too)

    You have the power.

Know that when you’re speaking with HR, you are giving them an opportunity to address this before you sue them.

***You are not asking for their help, you’re offering them a way to avoid your wrath.***

The male in question needs to do some jail time or get some serious help. Working with a sexist asshole sucks but the stalking is a whole other ball of wax and the police need to be involved.
