Seeing this hit me if the feels more than I thought. Working in STEM fields as a woman, in my experience at least, means squashing your femininity to avoid comments. I look like a swamp monster most days because I don’t like how people will comment “you clean up nice” or “what’s the special occasion” if I try even a bit. Seeing someone fully go for it and wear a pretty dress is amazing.
