Placements That Are Slow to Respond/Text Back

I’ve noticed that a lot of water Mercury placements – specially cancer and Pisces mercuries are very slow at texting. Does anyone experience this who has a partner / friend with these placements or has one of these placements themselves?

What other placements have you noticed just NEVER get back to you in a timely manner? I’m very curious

Aquarius, Taurus, Pisces. Maybe Scorpio.

Cancer mercuries are really communicative actually. I’m a Taurus Mercury and I text back quick if I see it as it comes in but if I put the response off forget it I’ll lose track of time if i feel like I have to think about what I say

The worst texter I know is a libra Mercury lol. My teen daughter. She says she hates texting. She would rather talk on the phone. She is a fast talker and verbally gifted in general, I think writing slows her down.

My best friend is a Gemini Mercury and sheesh is she a texter

I just assume they have things to do, a life to live. They’ll text back when it’s time 🙂

For what it’s worth, most Cancer/Pisces Mercury placements I’ve encountered usually just hate texting as a form of communication.

Capricorn risings or stellium, Taurus placements (but it depends on their chart), water moons, or 12th house placements.

I’m a Mercury in Pisces and personally I just don’t like talking over phones whether it be a phone call, FaceTime or texting. I’d rather speak in person but if I had to choose I’d just text I guess. I do have a bad habit of forgetting texts if I don’t respond immediately. So if I get one when I’m busy, I usually see it and say to myself that I’ll respond when I have time and then end up forgetting about the text entirely. Maybe that’s just me tho lol

I’m more a fan of placements helping to explain why someone is bad at texting rather than generalizing that anyone with those placements is bad or good at something. Like water Mercury might be bad at texting because they need to be in the right emotional place before they can take care of more administrative stuff like texts.

I would say Air signs mostly, when they’re interested they’re THERE. When they’re having their funny days, oh it goes on and on and on for 3 days to a week easily.

I have found water signs to be really chatty actually.

p.s. This comes from experience but I am a Gemini Sun and Mercury in Taurus, I would say I am slow and I do tend to drag some days on to respond

I’m Pisces Mercury & Mars and yes …. I don’t try to be unresponsive or flakey but sometimes it takes me like 2 days to process my thoughts

I’d agree w/ those who threw in Taurus placements (not necessarily moons tho) defo for taurus suns & mercuries

Im a scorpio sun and mercury and I hate when ppl text too much. Just like it from my really close ones I love. I don’t care about the rest.

i’m really bad at texting people back or even seeing their messages. i also tend to space out and think about other things in the middle of conversations. ill literally ask someone a question and then forget to listen to the answer. i always attribute that to my sagittarius mercury being in detriment. i feel like me forgetting about my friends’ messages a lot is the work of my aquarius venus, cause aqua placements are known for being kind of aloof.

I have mercury Rx in Pisces and I’m a slow texter. I also have social anxiety and just avoid ppl in general but yeah I read texts and just don’t want to respond right away. It’s a problem. But I think my Mercury makes a lot of things harder then they need to be.

Mercury in Cancer here. I take long to reply, usually because a) social anxiety and b) I’m thinking of a good response lol.

I’m a Mercury in Cancer and I’m definitely slow to text back. Not that I don’t care, I just put a lot of thought into messages I write/send and self-censor to some degree, unlike other people who I think can respond quickly because they just write down whatever pops into their head. I can’t do that. So when I get a message and I know responding will take some thought, I sometimes put it off or stew over it for a day or two. My sun is also in Cancer, so I have ease of communication when I really feel passionate about a topic or a feeling, but that comes out more when speaking. For me Mercury is in opposition to Saturn (Capricorn) which might explain this self-consciousness when it comes to writing/texting and why it takes me awhile to write out my thoughts.
