    Y’all have me nervous.

I am pregnant with a boy, due mid Virgo season. I am a taurus, his sister is a capricorn– so at first I was jazzed because hey, all earth signs!!

But then I started checking this sub and everyone hates virgo men.

I appreciate all the feedback- the positives, the negatives, and all the advice on how to navigate raising this little dude.

    (F) Libra here, had a friend in high school who is a virgo. She has a great personality, very loving and full of excitement. She can be a bit much, but I can still appreciate the good qualities. We don’t hang out much, she’s busy being a mom, and a happy one! I don’t think I remember dealing with many virgo men, but I wanted to add some positive things.

We’re observant. Listen to him for an unseen perspective. Perfectionism can paralyze us, teach him it’s okay and natural to make mistakes and to start somewhere.

Check his whole birth chart after he’s born.

Because they’re critical and frugal with money and emotions. But all signs have positive/negative traits. They’re also helpful, like to share, not super demanding, good at finding the flaws in things and fixing them, etc.

I’m a Virgo rising and almost everything everyone says is true. The only untrue stuff is kind of balanced by other placements.

No hate but I find virgo placements to be too picky and hard to please at time. I’ve met nice virgos and have a Virgo friend but for me I’m too different from them.

I am a Taurus and I love Virgo men, so no clue where the hate comes from.

Virgo here with several Virgo friends. Virgos can be very observant. People view us as judgmental when really we are obsessed with being constructive and seeing our loved ones thrive. Because we can lack tactfulness our observations often come across the wrong way

We can have standards that are too high which we extremely resent when pointed out, since we can find it really hard to take criticism ourselves. We can have problems with confrontation and we have no problem icing people out of our lives even though it can be really painful. We can definitely struggle with practicing gratitude, not taking things for granted, and communicating our feelings. We can be big worriers as a result.

We are very detail oriented and can usually predict problems before anyone else, which can land us in trouble even when we’re right (I think a Virgo probably came up with the phrase “don’t shoot the messenger”). Despite our reputation for organizing we can be huge slobs and the struggle against hoarding is very real. We really should be in charge of running everything except our own lives.

It’s often said that Virgos are happiest when serving but I know I can be resentful about that. I need to remind myself to be grateful for what I have, and that bringing joy and helping others is empowering.

We Virgos need to remind ourselves to have fun with it, because when we do, we are the life of the party.

As a Virgo who has seriously studied astrology and tarot for well over a decade, I can say EVERY sign, when unhealthy, is toxic and horrible. As long as you let him be himself and don’t mold him to be anything, encourage good behavior and feed the mercurial mind with all the information he’s curious about, you will have a very wonderful little person who WILL undoubtedly contribute wonderful things to their community and possibly the world. Virgo’s when healthy are sturdy beyond measure and hold their communities accountable. They won’t let others around them fall, but people need to fall sometimes and this is where other signs don’t like healthy Virgos. We will push others to be their best and EXPECT others to do the same for us. Some people aren’t ready for that…life is a journey and a GOOD Virgo with support and independence can not only take that journey but help everyone on their way.

I was not raised in a healthy environment and it took the entirety of my 20’s to weed out all the bullshit but it’s hard for ANYONE who has to do that. Then there are the years of looking back and cringing which only reinforces the need to stay the course lol but you get spit out into a weird cool wisdom cloud where things just roll off your back in the end. Community, a healthy one, is important for everyone.

If he is born a Virgo, diet will be important. Overstimulation and negativity will manifest in the stomach so stay up on nutrition and stay away from too much processed foods and sugar that isn’t naturally occurring like fruit. (As a mom I know that once they get to school age it’s impossible to keep them from it but the lesser the better) Virgo is Mercury ruled so he will need to learn to communicate his feelings early. Bottling them up or feeling misunderstood will also cause digestive issues and nervous system issues.

I love Virgos, they’re my type of people. Never had a seriously bad experience with them. Sometimes if they’re in a bad mood they can be a little bit chippy but I’m guilty of that myself. I love when they tell a funny story or talk about something that they’re passionate about, they get so animated and energetic. Usually their natural disposition is to be at an even keel but they’re capable of expressing a wide range of emotions. They value logic and practicality which I appreciate. They also tend to be very very hard on themselves. I can see why others might have a hard time getting a long with them, for whatever reason Virgos seem to like me and I like them back.

From my experiences with virgos, teaching him how to communicate his feelings in a healthy, respectful way will really help him go far in life.
