I mean… isn’t he offering you the withering corpses of once gorgeous but ephemereal beauties? I mean, it isn’t bones, but it’s definitely dead stuff. Dead stuff doesn’t necessarily means grim and gloom. Sometimes it’s bright and colourful and thirsty.

I love this! I told my husband when we first got together that I do not enjoy receiving flowers as a gift. I like to see flowers blooming in their natural habitat, not dying in a vase on my counter.
