Flowers are dead stuff :/

I’ve told husband not to get me flowers, but he or I will still get them sometimes (because our 4 year old son loves them, he’s enamored). Regardless, as a former botany major (just an undergrad), I used to be excellent at drying plants and preserving them. So that’s what I do with such flowers. I have the special occasion flowers in a herbarium/special folder for such things, and this includes my wedding flowers from 8 years ago. I love dried flowers.

Flowers are nice when you dry them and you put them on your collection of shiny rocks and bones to get an aesthetic composition. It’s lethal when you have a glass bell to storie them all togheter.

Ok but like imagine how much it would hurt to get whipped with a dozen long stem roses. Even if the thorns were removed, that shit would hurt.
