I’ve heard of many types of tools in the practice, but I’ve been curious about everyone’s personal favorite tools. By tools, I mean physical items, like wands and other items you use in your craft. I own many tools, but my favorite by far is my deer skull, which I use as a way of communicating with my familiar. My second is a multipurpose pocket knife that I use to carve wooden poppets, smoothen wand handles, cut cordage, and carve out faces for my shrunken apple doll heads. What are your most useful tools? Peace and blessings<3

My personal grimoire. It’s how I learn from myself, by figuring out what works and what doesn’t.

My selenite wand for sure, and my mom’s ring. She passed away six years ago so I use it to keep me company/provide protection. She introduced me to witchcraft young and was a psychic medium herself so the ring grounds me. Also, I keep my dog in the room at all times. Don’t know why, just makes me feel more safe, I did it when I was just starting out and now I don’t like doing the process without him, lol!

My bell, it’s shaped like a tiny lady in a fancy dress and it was given to me by my mom, I use it to clear the air and get in the zone. Also my tarot deck, given to me by my dad, though used less often than the bell, I just couldn’t imagine my altar without these two things.

In terms of physical tools, it’s the tools and items you need for your specific spell or ritual that’d be the most important ones… So there is no specific answer…

Me. I’ve tried using a lot of tools but I’ve learned that most of the tools that are typically used (wands, chalices, athames) just don’t work that well for me.

My mind. I truly believe our minds is all we really need.

I’ve got candles, gems, and yarn, and lots of other things. If we’re talking about tools that are not me, myself, and I, then I’d say that my most important tool is my altar.

I place all of my tools for workings and representations on my altar, next to my altar, and anything that I want to attribute in general goes onto the altar until I feel as though it’s done.
