Which planet or aspect is associated with laziness?

I would imagine that Venus rules laziness and that signs like Taurus and Libra, who love beauty and comfort, are probably more “lazy” or have a hard time getting up and going.

However I was recently told that strong Uranus placements are a major contributor to ADHD. Psychologists propose there really **IS** no such thing as laziness and you’re really depressed, unmotivated, distracted or lost. All of those things often fall under ADHD and ppl with attention deficit disorders are often perceived as lazy.

I would say Venus square Jupiter is a good indication of laziness. The square brings out the worst qualities of Venus: self-indulgence, vanity, living beyond your means, jealousy. I imagine this square as a lady sitting on a chaise lounge being fed grapes and getting her hair brushed while yelling at another maid to clean up the mess.

As per vedic astro am told am lazy at times because i have saturn in 12H . Saturn is itself a slow moving planet so its related to laziness. Strong Mars is the exact opposite in this regard. So delib mars or in pisces maybe or 12h can also mean procrastination.
North node with moon or mercury with moon in vedic astro are seen as having possiblities of depression or distraction.

Laziness is also a judgment when Venus is being ruled by Mars and with no aspects on chart. For example: Vénus in aries.
Júpiter being ruled by Moon and afllicted with opposition or quadrature by it.

Taurus, Libra, Sag, Aquarius, Leo and Pisces are all connected to laziness but in different ways.
Strong Neptune, Venus, Uranus and Jupiter as well.
If you don’t have problematic aspects like squares and oppositions, things will be easier for you and you might become lazy.
Check your 6th house also. It is quite telling.
Check the nodes as well. People that have planets conjunct the south node can be quite lazy if they are not evolved.
Weak Mars.

For example, I consider myself hardworking (lots of Aries, Virgo and heavy Plutonian), but I have Uranus and Neptune in my 6th house. I’m terrible with routines and the standard 9 to 5 office type of work. So I won’t be the best worker in that type of environment. But when it comes to projects and freelancing, I’m great.

Taurus rising; Uranus trine Mercury, Sun and Saturn; heavy Neptune placements. I have ADHD. I don’t think any of these make me lazy. However someone mentioned a weak Mars. If I had to attribute my “laziness” to anything, it would be my Libra Mars, but it’s more indecisiveness rather than laziness. At the end of the day my earth rising keeps me grounded and I get shit done even if it takes longer than others. I move at my own pace.

i never enjoy mixing up astrology directly with psychology. yeah, i do think certain placements emulate some adhd traits – as an aries, i’m impulsive and i have a short fuse. gemini are chatterboxes, aquarius never think inside the box. also, i feel really strongly that my virgo moon is just the crux of my anxiety

laziness is really complicated. i agree with them that it’s not real, as in there are barriers making it harder to do things such as fatigue, anxiety or other mental health stuff. uranus definitely interacts with it all as a presence of restriction, making it harder

basically, i just caution mixing the two realms because then…what if we started to diagnose people, or tell them they’re struggling with a mental illness because of x planet, when it’s often not our business. but a post just wondering about something like this is cool and im not telling you off or anything!

I think there’d have to be multiple factors at play to indicate laziness… maybe it’s my mercury trine mars but let’s first start with a defined agreement of “lazy.”

Sincerely, a venus taurus and moon, with depression and ADHD who was also a collegiate swimming athlete who after a shoulder injury still held four jobs while taking 18 college units and competed on the debate team. While also pregnant.

In my opinion laziness is a lack of energy, so lack of fire sign placements, and perhaps prominent Neptune and Venus.
