Fire signs: Sagittarius

Sagittarius is the odd one out because they tend to be less competitive and doesn’t worry about being number one unlike Aries and Leo. They also tend to be less possessive than the rest of the fire signs. Plus they are the only fire sign that is half human/half horse while the rest are straight up animals.

Earth signs: Virgo

Virgo is the odd one out because they tend to care about materialism less unlike Taurus and Capricorn. They also tend to analyze and stay in their heads more than the other Earth signs. Also if you can convince a Virgo about something they can easily change their minds unlike Taurus and Capricorn. Plus they are the only Earth sign that is represented by a human while the rest who are animals.

Air signs: Aquarius

Aquarius is the odd one out because they tend to like to be alone and enjoy their own company unlike Gemini and Libra. They also tend to be less superficial and gossipy than the other Air signs. Also, sometimes they can come across as so stubborn in their beliefs and sometimes introverted which is not an Air sign trait.

Water signs: Scorpio

Scorpio is the odd one out because they tend to keep their emotions to themselves (even though they are emotional) and don’t like to wear their heart on their sleeves unlike Cancer and Pisces. They also tend to be aggressive and like power more than the other water signs. Can also have a mean streak more than Cancer and Pisces who are known to be innocent and nice. Plus they are the only water sign that is represented by an insect while the others are represented by sea creatures.

I agree with Sagittarius but I never met a Sag who wasn’t trying to win and win AT LIFE itself!!! Haha some of the most competitive people I’ve ever met. And a Sag MOON? Whew. But still they are the odd one out undoubtedly, they are truly their own fuckin thing, you know?

I also feel like Cap would be the odd one out for Earth signs cuz I think Virgos are super materialistic even if it’s sentimentally which is big for all Earth signs. I feel like Caps are normies and Taurus n Virgo are the chaotic weirdos! So more similar to each other.

One thing I would like to say about Cancer though is that their symbol is a crab, a hard shell to protect a soft interior. Cancer’s don’t rlly wear their heart on their sleeve, they are rather distant and cold at first and then they let you in.

Signs have a more exoteric meaning that you seem to acknowledge. Sag isn’t the centaur but the arrow. The sign symbolize the will and the sight (and thus the trajectory, the path) from point a to point b. Same for Scorpio which was seen as a creature hiding in dark and humid places, so conceptually identical as deep waters. In that sense both belong to their element, because 1) Sag is primarily the emotional more than the intellectual strife for something and the will to reach it. This movement in Sags is more physical than mental as in air signs and it’s often expressed in domineering ways which fits with the fairy aspect of the element. 2) Scorpio is deeply linked with emotional depth which is again very fitting with water element. Same goes for Aqua which is an overly intellectual sign and thus totally an air sign, air being the element that symbolize the mind and both its need to communicate and elaborate ideas. In that sense while it’s true that Virgo is a thinker as well, it’s also true that it thinks more about material, physical things than about the grand scheme of things. It’s basically the Lord of the Rings’ dwarf, an engineer that needs to understand how machines and things work. So in that sense, being bounded to the material plain it still is an earth sign trough and trough.

When you upset a scorpio you ***know*** what they’re thinking because they’ll show it outright. In that way they wear their heart on their sleeve and they are not so reserved with their emotions, Pisces and cancers could hate you or be upset yet they can stay sweet on the surface and you wouldn’t suspect a thing. In my experience Taurus people are more materialistic than virgo. Other than that I can kinda agree with where you’re coming from. Generally every sign holds unique traits and you could always interpret things differently to say any sign is the ‘odd one out’. But interesting take!

I definitely can see / relate to much of this! However, I’ve found that scorpios mostly just claim to keep their emotions to themselves … all the while they’re actually spewing them out or physically wearing them in fashion lol … maybe it’s just the ones that I know ? 😅

If “odd sign” were taken as an Astrology term (it is), we’d be talking about Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. The odd/even (or masculine/feminine signs) come into play strongly when looking at hora chart. Which is when each sign is divided in half, first 15deg of odd signs is ruled by the Sun, last 15 deg ruled by Moon. In even signs it reverses, first 15 deg is Lunar ruled, last 15 deg is Solar.

As a Capricorn I relate more to the Virgo observation.

I’ve looked up which “dekan” of Capricorn I’m in and I’m in the Virgo “dekan” so I guess this is why I can relate so much to it.
I’m forever towing the line of “both sides” like a GD Libra lol
