My mum died earlier this month. I have not had anything from her. Not seen her, not felt her, no visitation dream, nothing. I’m the only ‘gifted’ one in the family and know the signs and have seen spirits/ghosts but i’m no medium and i don’t understand. But my question for Mediums is: why do some people see their relatives and have some kind of contact and some never? i’d love to have contact with her as we had fallen out and tbh, i thought she would have come to see me by now?

My dad and my best friend both passed away this past winter. I’m sorry for your loss, from your post it seems like you’re doing well but I’m sure you are feeling so much grief. I felt like I was able to connect with them in various ways shortly after they passed, then there was kind a lull, though I occasionally dream of them. Some of those dreams, especially the ones with my dad, are very vivid and just different from my regular dreams.
But sometimes when I don’t feel them for a while, I think it’s because my own grief or other hang-ups from stuff we didn’t work through when they were alive sort of prevent me. And I will also second that I believe people are quite busy over there, they’re sorting through a whole bunch of stuff of their own, especially at first. I’m not a professional medium, but this is just my experience being a sensitive person who has some contact with the spiritual world and talking and reading generally about the experience of mediums.
When I want to talk to them, I find that writing a letter then reading it out loud and perhaps burning it or something has felt really good and therapeutic.

I am so sorry for your loss! I lost a favorite aunt at the age of 13 and being spiritually gifted (and having multiple precognitive dreams about her death), desperately desired to connect with her after she passed. I kindof felt like I forced the energy and had a vision/contact with her that was very dark. It hasn’t been til many years later, and having developed my sensitivity more, that I have felt her specifically. Other dead relatives I feel a lot more.
I think part of it has to do with your type of sensitivity and the way they choose to or can present to us. Kinda like the vibing statement. Developing more intuitive gifts and my sensitivity overall through different modalities helps me connect with more relatives than I was able to before.

There are no *”people who are not visited by relatives”*, there are **”relatives who do not visit people”**. These relatives visit who they want and when they want, and the fact that we want them to visit us does not change anything.
It is important to know that *respecting the decisions of these people is fundamental*. Contact happens when it’s pertinent, and it’s not about begging for it. It just takes patience and trust, for if this contact has not yet taken place, it may happen at any moment.

The most simple way too do this and any one can do it, think of doing the favorite activity with the person, see it playing out in the mind, now interact with the person with the you that is performing the activity in the mind
The things you see in the mind are actually happening in the non physical reality, the same place where people go after death, it’s as real as you reading this text on your device. Your mind is the window too the other world, the eyes of your higher self.
