My witchy sister and I are crones and would like to put out a podcast about witchcraft. We are testing the waters and trying to see what the pagan community would like to hear from a couple of desert-dwelling old crones. Please comment and tell me what you would like to know. Do you want to hear about personal experiences or fact-based research, or maybe a mix of both? Do you want current events, for example: politics, world issues, etc, or just pagan-related events? Would you like to have the podcast geared more toward inexperienced witches or the more mature group who have been on the path a while? How would you like the podcast to be formatted? Humorous? Serious? I would appreciate any and all input. Thank you so much in advance!

Any witch who has been practicing for a while knows that with repetition of a spell comes refinement and deeper understanding. We would be blessed to receive the wisdom of a crone on the intricacies of the craft in its many forms.

It seems there are a thousand spells for cleansing on the internet these days, but how do you, personally, go about it? What applications and methods match best for you and how did you develop them? The same will be true for almost any area of the craft.

What I’m trying to say is- will you share the footnotes of your book of shadows with us? The bits scribbled in the margins and on the scraps of paper tucked inside? Will you take us on a tour of your home, your garden, your kitchen, your alter and explain why everything is just so? Will you share the journey you have made, the books you treasure, and, perhaps most importantly, the things your intuition encourages you to share with an audience?

I’d like to hear educated facts and knowledge that’s from your actual practice not just things that were googled for 5 minutes and the information is horrible. I don’t like when people make whole speels about things they don’t understand or haven’t fully learned. Also please keep political and other views to yourself. Every witch podcast is infested with this and it makes for a very non witch themed podcast. Nothing ruins it more than thinking you’re about to get some valid information and the host proceeds to spend 3/4 of the time complaining about the current president. Let a witch podcast strictly be that. A little chatter is great but I want valuable information. I just tried to start one and they literally all sounded like baby witches who were reading off Wikipedia. This post sounds a little aggressive as I reread it so i apologize in advance. I’m not sure how else to word it. 😅

A mix of personal experiences and fact based research for sure. I think a style kind of like RadioLab would be great, because it has conversational feeling pieces that also are very educational.

I also think keeping politics out of it would be good. I for one would love to focus solely on the witchcraft element. However, whichever way you go, please keep us updated! I would love to hear what a couple of desert-dwelling old crones have to say.
