I went to a tarot reader by force at 18 and she told me your life won’t get better not until 28 29 I told her how can I make it better now? She goes go ahead try ur best you won’t be able to not until 28 and I’m 24 now and I’ve been trying to make my life good with small ways since 18 can’t nothing worked so how can I make it happen now and not wait until then? I want to prevent it from happening then like why start at 28 when I can start now.

Whether you believe tarot cards are messages from some supernatural spiritual power, or you believe tarot is a psychological tool for introspection- there is nothing written by any authority anywhere that states “x card means this one any only thing”. Nor does any educated, well-read, well trained reader read such narrow, negative, fatalistic meanings into the cards.

I would suggest one of the best ways to get rid of the negative emotions that scammer left you with is to learn more about tarot. There are many, many great books out there. But the one book that regularly gets recommended more than others is Rachel Pollack’s Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom: A Book of Tarot. It is a great place to start & There are plenty of used copies out there for about $12 (the newest revision has a yellow cover).

You were FORCED to get a tarot reading at 18? This sounds bogus just like the reading itself.

Was she using any other tools besides tarot? Some people really struggle with life until their first Saturn return, which is sometime between the ages of 28-30, so that could be worth looking into. To get this information, she would have to know about astrology and have your chart handy

If she was using only tarot, then there’s no way that could be true since cards only read current energy, they can’t predict future events that far in advance

    A) Nothing in life is set in stone, everything is ever changing and why it’s a little bit pointless to ask Tarot about the future

    and

    B) That sounds totally made up. I can’t picture what cards she would have pulled to say your life won’t get better until you’re 29.

Life is what you make it.

Life being good is all a matter of perspective. The reading is framing your perspective to focus on bad things, there will always be shitty things happening and its important to acknowledge them but to embrace the good things as the life youre living. If you feel things need to change, you can do some pulls on what steps you can take to try to take control of life. If you need help or guidance i dont mind doing some pulls for you completely free 🙂

From my experience – as a reader with some private clients and as someone who’s been read before – I bristle at these kinds of specific directives. Everyone’s life is their own, and at best the tarot is a way of narrativizing situations so you can better understand them.

That being said, the reader in this instance might have been referring to your Saturn return, which happens around 27-29, and signifies a time when you undergo many changes in your life and ways of thinking.

You can literally ask follow up questions on how to enhance. Tarot shows a current trajectory if you want to look at it as divinatory.

This is absolute rubbish and it really annoys me that a reader would be so irresponsible as to say such a thing to an impressionable young person. Here’s the thing – if you believe it, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Thankfully the reverse is also true 🙂 remember that YOU control your life and YOU set your own vibe. And you can lead a great life any time you want

She might be talking about your Saturn return or other astrological events that coincide with age.

Maybe 28 is the age you finally realize she was full of shit! I see a tarot reading as being a view of the trajectory you’re currently on if you don’t change things. The main thing that seems to be influencing your bad life is your belief that this lady has any idea what she’s talking about, so I would change that.

That is such a shit reading. They only said that because you go through a Saturn return at around that age. We all do. They were just a shit reader.

I’ve only been reading about 14 years and don’t wanna dismiss how someone else reads, but that reading is garbage and not helpful. There’s always stuff to do because how else would life get “better”. They could’ve said ways to work towards whatever your “better” is. Things take time, like working towards a dream or goal, but they also take action on our side. Can what she said would obtained around 28 be broken down into smaller steps?

The tarot is a tool for looking at situations through a snippet in life. It is not a hard and fast rule.

The nature of time is fluid – and just because things are a certain way one day doesn’t mean that it will remain the same way – and that’s the literal lesson of The Wheel of Fortune. Fortunes rise and fall, as with any part of our lives.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of charlatans in Tarot. Pay that asshole no attention.
