If our Ascendant can describe our physical appearance, can Descendant describe the physical appearance of the one we’re attracted to?

Lol I’m an Aries rising, so I guess my descendant is Libra. I DO NOT like Libras. It’s the only sign in the zodiac that I have a vehement distaste for, because I can name at least five off the top of my head that were absolutely insane to me and/or others. I like men who are the absolute opposite of Libra characteristics: Decisive, assertive, reserved, slow to anger, sensual, and down to earth. Hit me with an earth-sign man any day of the week lmao

I’m a Cancer rising and not sure how to characterise capricorn men physically and in general – but I noticed I often feel attracted to quiet guys who seem a little reserved 👀 and also who are successful in what they do/have a little power (usually in an artistic area though, not so much a classic corporate CEO or anything like that). So maybe this is connected to my capricorn 7th house?
Edit: it just occurred to me that my venus and mars are in the 10th, this might contribute to that as well

I’ve read that the descendant describes the “ideal partner” so I would assume that also includes physical appearance 🙂

I don’t think so. Even moreso because the responses here are common when this topic is briefed. Very good question, tho.
I’m a Leo Rising, and while I look very Aquarian (I have Venus in the 7th too, along with multiple Uranus aspects, so I’m archetypal lol piercings, head to foot tats, androgynous, edgy for days lol ) but I tend to like normal looking men generally. Mostly because tattooed freaks aren’t in abundance where I am lol. And most Aquarius I’ve come across ghost me rather quickly and I’m usually not interested anyway lol. I think it really reveals the quality of my relationships and the dynamics I attract. Or how you’ll behave in your interpersonal relationships. I definitely have an Aquarius philosophy to romance and coupling, I’m non monogamous, and I disagree with most ideas around relationships- all very in line with Aquarius on the descendant.
My sister has Aries descendant, and none of her long term relationships were with Aries men ever. But she’s become more dominant in her relationships. She projects masculine energy in her relationships and prefers men she can dominate and boss around. She’s also attracted to men more in line with her venus in Leo than Aries men.
There are potentially hundreds or more people you could be matched with. And they’re all going to look differently. So I don’t really think (7th house) it’s an indication of physical appearance.

It does, sort of! Your descendent will be in your 7th house, which rules important relationships and romantic partners. But you have to take into account things like the ruling planet, and how it’s aspected in the chart.

Physically no. Descendant is in gem but my style is 1000% Cap. Strong jaw, lean build, dresses well in a conservative/ preppy style. Personality-wise, I like a witty man but I also like silence. A lot.
