I feel like i’m edging to a burn out and shutting down to all emotions. So, my dearest siblings i request that you leave a comment with your latest happy news, hobby, special interest, what you did for Samhain, what are your plans to relax? did you get a curly fry in your regular fries? did your pet make a funny face ? did you have a breakthrough with your craft? I want to hear all about it big or small.

Go to as much or as little detail as you want but keep it happy. I think we all need a smile on our faces and to decompress a little considering the state of the world.

The arthritis medicine for my dog is working. Took 3 different meds to find the right fit, but she isn’t limping anymore. Her quality of life has gone up a ton and she’s almost acting like a puppy again, despite being 15

I’m currently in the midst of a two week vacation. I spent the last week finishing up some projects that I’ve been puttering around with. And, yesterday I listed them in my Etsy store. Today will be spent cleaning, and making a point to stress as little as possible. Tea will probably be involved at some point.

But, the thing that’s got me smiling at the moment is the dream I had last night. You see, it was a typical rambling dream… I was wandering around, looking for something. Honestly, I don’t remember most of the dream. But, I have a very clear image of my grandfather holding my cat. Gramps died just over 10 years ago. Gracie died this past January. The idea that he’s looking after her, and that they’re both safe… it’s such a relief to me.

I shaved my head after years of wanting to do it and even though the support has been non existant from family and friends. I’m super happy with it.

I had a cricket hitch a ride with me on my way home from work yesterday. Not sure what that means, but it was nice to have company on my commute.

I’m going to lose weight! I have been fighting this battle most of my life and now that I’m in my 40s I’m in pretty bad shape and at my highest weight, but have also really, really struggled in the evenings. Late at night I turn into the snacking version of a werewolf and eat everything in sight. I will do great all day, eat healthy foods, exercise, etc, and then at midnight BOOM I am a werehog eating an entire wheel of cheese and all the crackers in the house and an entire bag of pistachios, etc. So the doc put me on some really mild appetite suppressant in the evenings starting last night and hooooooo boy, I’m suddenly a human at night! I ate a salad for dinner! And instead of going on a kitchen-destroying rampage, I ate a single salted chocolate truffle and felt just fine! I’m gonna do this! I’m gonna get to a healthy place! I just want to be able to walk the poor dog without getting winded, you know? I feel more positive about this than I have in years! I’m hoping by Christmas I will have slimmed down just enough to know for sure that it’s working and I can keep it up. If anyone wants to send me healthifying vibes, it would be much appreciated. I love that I started the journey on October 31st; it feels like a good sign. By this time next year, I will have twice the energy to fight the patriarchy on all fronts! 😀

I got my first tattoo two days ago after completing a scavenger hunt to get a time slot with the artist!

The artist was so sweet and kind when I had an anxiety attack in the chair 10mins into tattooing. After a brief break and him explaning that what was happening was often normal for first timers and such, we continued on and I sat through the rest of it without issue. I was (and still am) so proud of myself of going through with it and completing a dream of mine. And so grateful for him not judging and being super caring during the process! Now I have a magical book to carry with me on my arm for eternity!

This season, two of my friends, individually, confided in me that they needed something to help them further their career and/or studies. I was able to provide for both of them and it made me feel very much like a Good Witch.

This spell I make so you can partake, you will also have the magical might, to help a friend and create light.

I held a bowling party on Sunday for the national pancreas foundation. A few survivors of pancreatic disease were there and we raised over 1k for research and we had a few awesome strikes. My heart is still full. 💓

Brief, loud thunder storm today followed by the biggest brightest rainbow I’ve ever seen. Made me smile in spite of work being something of a pain right now. Little things. Also as I’m working from home I figured out I could spend half an hour at lunch digging out some weeds in the garden. Will take a lot of lunch breaks to finish but I got some done! (Before the storm!)

I am living my dream of a five month trip around the world. After dealing with burnout at work myself followed by an injury that refused to get better I am happy.

I just got to Rome, which has been a dream for decades as it’s history is a passion for me.

For the first time my son has a friend in his neighborhood! He struggles to keep friends with his sensory issues and he found a buddy on the school bus that he relates to. It makes me so happy to know that he isn’t lonely!

Not particularly exciting, but this is my last week at my job that has been actively sabotaging my accounts and preventing me from earning commission. My momma is coming into town this weekend, and we are going to a winery, going shopping, eating delicious foods, maybe going to a wine and paint class, and going to this weird installation/museum thing. Then, I’ll have the whole next week off to decompress and gather my thoughts before I start my new job. I’m pretty stoked.

Yesterday I was sitting at my apartment building’s picnic table. A couple of turkeys were hanging out by me. They were softly clucking, I was pss, pss at them. You know, just chilling. Well, a pizza delivery guy came to the building, dropped the delivery, got back into his car and started to leave. The turkeys went nuts. They ran up to his car, banging on the tires and grill, etc. so he couldn’t leave. After several attempts which left both me and the driver laughing, I finally herded them away from the front of his car and he got the heck out of there. I went back to the picnic table, the turkeys followed me back, hung out again for a bit, and then wandered off. The last thing I expected to do on Halloween was turkey herding.
